I got this really cool player model..and i want to have it as my sprite when i play in HLDM i cant find were to puut it in..could some one help?

You mean your model in HLDM! Place it in Half-life/valve/models/player! The last two are like the directory in the .pak file!

shouldent there be something else in ther as well not just blank?

plus mine goes like this

C:/programfiles/Valve/steam ect

then i get kinda lost could you be more specific?

In Steam, it'll be in:

C:Program FilesValveSteamSteamAppsaccountnamehalf-lifevalvemodelsplayer. Phew. If any subdirectories don't exist, you just create 'em.

They will almost certainly be empty if they do exist.

Uh... no, you go into half-life, like I said, unless you're actually talking about HL?DM.

You can't take a HL2 model in HL1, unless you convert it back to a HL1 player model.

If your new player model is called santa_claus, then the make a new folder in your valve/models/player with the same name as the model file. In this case: valve/models/player/santa_claus/santa_claus.mdl.

Only then the player model will show up in your "select player model" screen in your Steam settings. Im not sure what it is called.
