Are VTF's Halflife2 skins? What I mean is are they the textures for the Halflife 2 models? If so, can someone tell me program*s* that can open them?
Notice the s. Tell me many programs, I don't want to buy anything...

vtf is indeed the file used for HL2 textures and models etc...along with .vmt for the location and cubemap info.
A program that opens them hmmm well you can use Vmex to convert .tga to vtf but i'm not sure about the other way round.
