Yep, another rant and rave from the hunter.

For gods sake people. What have we become?! So many entertained by the filth that modern culture accepts as 'an hilarious' film.

I mean serously, Jar Jar Binks? What the fuck?!

Modern culture seems to believe that any old shite with amazing effects makes a good film. WRONG! The dialogue in the latest star wars film(s) was appauling! I cant even remember the name of the latest one...
And i cant remember ANYTHING that happened in Attack Of The Clones... And the only reason i remember The Phantom Menace? Yep, Jar Jar Fucking Binks. The most annoying piece of idiocy ever thrown into a film.

And what does modern culture say to the idiots behind such films?
"Make more! We're gullable! We dont care if we cant remember the film we went to see at the cinema yesterday, as long as we went"

Bollocks.

So i plead to you, the Jar Jar Generation, dont accept that crap. Daddy Daycair? The Lion King 193642934?
Meet The Fockers? Collosal?!
These are trash! Filth! An insult to intellegent brains!

Watch classics!
2001 a space oddyse,
The Fifth Element
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
The Return Of The Jedi
The Italian Job (Classic and New were great)
Saving Private Ryan
West Side Story..

And Countless more..

DONT BE FOOLED MY MODERN DAY SHIT!

2001: on my DVD player, yet to watch.
Fifth Element: excellent film!
A New Hope: eh? Which one was that, for us non-Warsy goons?
Empire Strikes Back: was alright.
Return of the Jedi: ditto. I liked the first most.
Italian Job: saw the old one. Might have seen the new one, can't remember.
Saving Private Ryan: whoops. Must get again.
West Side Story: is that Romeo and Juliet?

Never saw Van Helsing.

I've seen a copy of West Side Story, set in a similar position, but in, like, the eighties. Shakespeare meets GTA:VC.

Ooooow cmon!

Starwars 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. and moda foka 6. kick ass!

I agree that the old skool shit was better.

But these speceal effects of 1,2 and 3 are also fun..

Everytime I see the laser fights I get a smile on my face..

Some things that would have made the Star Wars prequel trilogy a bit better:

-Jar Jar Binks should have never been there, period.
-Episode I should have been less predictable. We all knew who would win that battle.
-The bad guys (trade federation) shouldn't have looked like dirty teletubbies. They were not menacing.
-They needed someone to write real dialogues. The original trilogy wasnt that good in that aspect, but the actors made you forget their lines were sometimes bad.
-They needed another actor to play Anakin. (For the little kid and the adult one too)
-They should have made a couple of stage sets, instead of CG and blue screens everywhere. We never feel the characters are in a place. We can see it's a background and they are talking to non-existent aliens in some cases.

etc

The Fifth Element
Hmm, I am getting the feeling everyone else in the world has watched a different Fifth Element, as the one I saw had a black transvestite, a retarded red head, Bruce Willis, guns that could fire around corners and monsters which where...quite frankly...utter, imcomprehensivably shit bad guys.

I thought it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

And also, you say:
DONT BE FOOLED MY MODERN DAY SHIT!
But alot of good movies are modern.
For instance:

Donnie Darko.
Unbreakable.
Matrix.
etc.

I agree Jar Jar is scum of the earth, and shouldn't of been created, or at least should of been incinerated in Episode one.

And really...Hunter, dude, you just get too annoyed at things.
I'd like to see you make a movie, and be a big hit.

Let people like what they want.

the problem with the new star wars was how it realated to much to our world, remember the diner in episode 2? The Fire extinguisher units, and talking droids in 3? IT IS A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY, SO MAKE SURE THAT IT IS REPRESENTED SO!

But I am guessing you guys haven't seen Dodgeball or 40 Year old virgin?

oh good. more predictibly 'hilarious' american 5 day film trash.

I figure any film that critics call hilarious, is gonna be as funny as Jar Jar Binks... thats not good.

I don't see why everyone hates Jar Jar so much.
Ok , he's a pointless but he's not annoying.

Dodgeball is crap. It's not funny anywhere.

This guy is a freak, an imbicile, and an in-bred! Some nutcase must've slipped crack in Lucas's beer to make him think of that **! He's a discrace to Star Wars! Lucas should do the movies the way he did the original trilogy. Jar Jar's nothing but a cross-dressing nymphomaniac! He should be donated to a biology class on Corascant and be slowly disected, alive!
--Graywolf276
they should use the death star on Naboo and exterminate the entire race of retards
--DESTROYERofCRAP
Okay I get it, Star Wars is a "kids movie", according to George Lucas. I still think the character Jar Jar was horrible and the animation was just as bad. There were a lot of key characters in Episode 1 that could have been explored in much greater detail. It seems obvious to me that this movie was written and cast to sell toys.
There are no words to describe the pain the Binks thing should be put through......
--Dwoodfamily
Star Wars Episode 1 was what I consider to be an "equal opportunity movie". Lucus had to inject a rapstar alien into his script and destroy his art. He should have taken his work more serious because the rest of the world takes it seriously. What he did to his movie was similar to taking a diamond and rubbing it in a mound of shit.

Oh shut up, you star wars nerds. No one's forcing you to watch the damn movie. If you so god damn upset that jarjar binks (a horrible addition to a horrible movie) is in the newer movies, watch the older ones again.

I personally liked all the Star Wars movies, with the exception of Episode 2.
Jar Jar Binks can go jump off a cliff.
I've heard Four Brothers was good, doesn't look like the kind of movie I'd want to see though.

But you know what was a GREAT movie? Shawn of the Dead, oh yeah!!!!
Posted 19 years ago2005-09-15 20:12:33 UTC Post #134999
Never seen Shawn of the dead, looks good, if it is British Comedy, i don't know, some of that stuff is not funny. at all

40 Year old virgin is good.

All the new Star Wars sucked. Jar Jar made them suck 10 times worse even if he was only in for less than 10 seconds on EP3. Just seeing him ruined the whole movie. Wait. It was already ruined lol. Jar Jar just ruined them worse. I was hoping for Jar Jar to die a horrible death in EP2 and it never came. Then I crossed my fingers for EP3 and he still lived! The story lines sucked, the actors sucked and the computer effects sucked. It would have looked much better if he had used real special effects like he did in the old ones.
