How do you get NPCs to work (with AI) in HL2DM? Are there any tutorials? Every time I try, the NPCs just stand there in a wierd 'spread-eagle' position.

They dont have AI in MP. Too CPU heavy.

If they need just animations put them in as prop dynamics.

Hmmm... it's possible.
This one web site has a video tutorial to get a Zombie (with AI) to work in HL2DM. Somebody in another message board pointed me there and the video file was missing. I was hoping to find another tutorial or get help somewhere else.

Yes, you can do that with HL2SP maps...
But that's besides the point.
Does anyone know how to do AI in HL2DM?

I tried putting them in a DM map before and they just pivoted back and forth. I don't remember if they made any noises but they didn't do much. I wonder how Garry from Garry's Mod pulled it off? Oh well, he's got WAY too much time on his hands anyway.

The only ai entity I got to work in HL2DM was the birds. The other's don't really work. You could try adding ai nodes though.
