Y'ato's past
Chapter 12 - The Caves
Three more arrows flew only an inch over Y'ato's head as he proned quickly. Y'ato knew only one archer, who shot such arrows. The arrows were all made from a magic type of adamant metal, that could slice through any kind of armour.
The archer was the man he had never seen for more than 20 years. He was wearing a studded leather body, and a huge composite bow. It was Fergal. Y'ato knew Fergal almost as well as Zaleh.
Fergal wasn't very beloved in his childhood times. He didn't have a family, only a lonely grandmother, since his parents were killed, when Fergal was just a baby. He wasn't very good at sword-fighting, unlike Zaleh and Y'ato and he wasn't very agile. Y'ato remembered the way Fergal used to sit in the park and stare at the sky. Y'ato and Zaleh used to laugh at Fergal and do all sorts of mean pranks to him. Fergal's grandmother died, when he was only 12 and no one seen him since then.
Many years later he heard that Fergal won the royal arching competition with his magic arrows. Y'ato knew that he was in big danger now. Fergal never missed.
A few more arrows flew right past Y'ato, as he rolled behind some bushes. Y'ato knew that he couldn't take Fergal down with ranged attack, so he had to think of a different tactic.
He rolled behind a small hill and suddenly fell into a small cave, covered with tall grass. Soon he hit something hard and lost consciousness.

Whan Y'ato woke up - it was already dark. He could see the opening of the hole he fell in. It was night. He could hear the sounds of the night.
He heard an owl hoot on and on and then fly away.
He didn't kniow, if he lost Fergal, so he didn't climb out. Fergal could have been waiting this whole time for him to come out.
Y'ato knew that he had only one choice left. He had to crawl deeper into the cave he fell in.
Y'ato started crawling through the damp and slippery rock, in complete darkness, sometimes hitting his head against the pointy walls. There was a strange smell in the cave. It kept Y'ato fom lighting a small torch he always had with him, for there could have been gas in the cave.
Y'ato crawled and crawled.. His hands started bleeding, because of the sharp and pointy rock. Y'ato noticed that the cave he was crawling in was getting bigger and bigger. Soon, he could crouch and even stand up. The dripping sounds of the cave seemed to effect his him. Y'ato started hearing things, once he heard Wosaki telling him something he couldn't understand. Y'ato thought that he was going crazy.
After some more wandering throught the cave that was getting bigger and bigger - Y'ato saw a light. At first he thought that he was seeing halucinations, but as the light grew bigger, so did Y'ato's hope to see the sun. Soon, Y'ato went into a bigger cavern.
It was something he had never seen before...
