Im not refuring to the mods here becuse they are great

But what I've seen on some other sites fourms are just cases of mods picing on people for trying to do something that isent their job or what they don't need to do, for example on the (I shouldent really be naming the site but anyway) HIT fourms I saw on of the moderators editing someones post to say :Okay thats enough, I'm tired of you thinking your a moderator. Muted., and basicly what he said was "Ok seriously people this is enough. Please, let this thread die." because the thread was spammy and People were kind of misleading a newbie to thinking something was costing money when it wasent. I just think its stupid muting someone because of something little like that.

Yeah, the moderators on HIT are horrible. Mainly Wolf-Kain.

,in HIT they warned me,because I said'this is my thread'in my topic.But its a good site anyway.Like TWHL,but I think the mods in there has a real life releationship.When you discuss something every member responds negatively except the members who are new. :

Half-life improvement team forums. they made a whole bunch of super high def models and other stuff better for HL1

I prefer the Low Def pr High Def models personally. Super Def is just too far.

The HIT models are amazing (especially Ambient Impacts). I've never actually posted in the forums.

Saco: The moderators would probably learn you alot more if you learned to spell and type properly.

Both of those models look shitty

the superdef models take all the fun out of half-life and totally remove the half-life feeling - they suck. I mean seriously! You want good hl models? Play HL2! they dont look anything like the originals.

For the love of god, dont doom this into a flaming thread. Its nothing offensive, or shouldnt be. "HE SAID I CANT SPELL!", "NUKE HIS ASS"...... no.

That barney is good, I do like water-pheonix's models because he has the best skins.

I don't think there are any good moderators at HIT, And some other fourms have rarely appering moderators.

Do a search on their forums for gman, you're bound to find something you like. Just don't post in someone else's thread they will be like "OMFG BUMP! WTF NOOB MUTED!!!!!!!"

The moderators here is the only ones i can stand, they are nice here, have manors and behave like people. In every other forum i?ve been on they are just being rude and mess with people, banning them for no reason etc. etc.

The TWHL moderators is the only moderators that hasn?t turn?d into evil midgets...

But i think the moderators here have abused there power on ocations, just a little bit so it?s really no big deal...

If i was a moderator i would probably mess with people, and the first thing i should have do is to close the "hostage situation" thread, it?s pure spam.

I don't really like HIT myself - They seem to play a huge game of favorites and it's silly.

I can safley say that having been a HIT Moderator for over a year, your all correct.

The HIT Admins / Moderators have no conception of what is fair or acceptable. Granted their is one good moderator amoung them (Not going to name names) who is fair and just.

I actually got my moderatorship removed and then less than an hour later got banned from the site for a week for somthing that I didnt even do. But did the admin check or even talk to me to see my side of the story? Nope.

Then once I had explained that I had nothing to do with what had happened he unbanned me, but then kept my moderatorship away from me for 2 weeks! And I was totally innocent. Hence why I left, there are other reasons aswell, more serious ones. If you like, check here;

Anyway, as Rabid said, they all play a massive game of favorites, anyone who is new to the site can expect to get banned for starting a "hello" thread. The guy who owns the site (pays for the server) is never around, he doesnt really care what happens to the forums and makes bad discisions (IMO) about staff.

HIT is a mass of flame and spam, granted that the people who actually do anything never go near the off-topic sections and do make very good models in the modelsing areas. If you know whats good for you, stay away from HIT.

On a lighter note;

A few weeks ago me, Rabid, Mopx and a few others (sorry cant remember your names) all joined the HIT IRC channel to see how long it would take us to get banned. I dont have the exact logs but here is what I am working from memory (Correct me if I am wrong rabid);

(Up to this point rabid had said nothing).

Yea, me and wolf-kain go way back, he is a total asshole who thinks he is right about everything but in actuality lives in a dream world of his own (He once told me he has his own mech).

Well anyway, enough ranting, as you can tell I have strong feelings (of hatred mostly) about HIT after being their for over a year (it took me 1 week to be given moderator ship, go figure).

Yeah, Wolf-kain is an ass. Probably the worst choice for a moderator I've ever seen.

CDG is pretty bad too but thats just out of strictness, people aren't mean they just run a tight shift.

TWHL really is probably the best online community I've ever been to, but then again I haven't really been anywhere else but Half Life related forums.

ya, TWHL is good. i've seen a few other very loose forums in my time though. take HardwareAsylum.com for example, they have good mod's and a porn section, how can you have a better forum then that, thats not TWHL that is.

wolf-kain wouldn't happen to be a middleaged black man living with his mom in Alaska who built a mech that fell over and that he tried to sell on ebay for a rediculously high price for the lawn sculpture it ended up being, would he?

and on that note, anyone feel like going to the HIT forums and try to be perfect citizens while filling up their forums with posts so fast that they get confuesed when they try to decide to Ban us for reviving?

Poor Poor tycell, I read that a few months back and I was like Holy crap!!!. and then at the end It was a moderator who said the thing that was said,I Really hope TWHL never turns out to be like HIT, They need some better admin because HIT will soon be a back ally of all HL mapping/moddling/modding fourms, with drug dealers and all.
