easier than that.

here are the console commands.

tracerred 0
tracergreen 192
tracerblue 255
tracerspeed 250
tracerlength 750

i think that's what it is. in your main mod folder, make a textfile and type these cvars into the file. Save it as "userconfig.cfg" and these settings will be set automatically everytime the mod runs. any other settings changed for the mod should be here as well, such as tweaked gravity or running speeds.

Actually, if someone set it all up, i could do some of the skinning since there are a few specific things i'd like to have on some of these weapons. Other than that, anyone who wants to can give it a shot.

HL 1.6 is great...
lol nub!

HL1 = Very good, Can be rewarding.
Source = Easier for beginners, Awesome outcomes for pros

Awww. i feel special.

But on a bad note, my SoHL 1.4 has been crashing like nuts lately. I found out it's really unstable. Luckily Spirit 1.5a3 is here!

Anyone who will do any mapping or the like should get it.

Thanks for all of the offers for skinning. I know i would look at those models as being a nightmare to work with. Well... it did take me 3 weeks to design and model 8 weapons. I'm on a roll!!! w00t.

If you cant find yourself any mesher/skinner then it will be a pain in the ass to uv those models, you may not know how to skin but you know to torture them very well :lol: j/k

yeah, i'm taking a twist from the usual.
Expect good maps too, i'm pulling out all stops to get the max out of this. Probly because it's going onto my college portfolio. Everything i learn in class is immediately applied :D

For those who played the climbing test, i'm wondering if you guys noticed that the doors blocked vis. Thusly, the singled-off rooms can host a little more detail. So every room will have the detail of an entire map. I think i already explained this once.

The tracer cvars were something i stumbled across searching for the possible but rumored HUD color cvars for spirit. I found none, but i found these. :D

I have no such program to view and skin .obj files. :(

However the Voice acting offer is still on the table. With 4 reissues maps and a new mod in the making my Microphone doesn't know whats hit it. :P

My comp crashed a few times and since then it has been acting funny on a regular basis. I'm shopping for a new one now. I'll be able to keep the Hard Drive from it though, so no loss of the mod or anyhting. Just post-pwned.

Urb, most modeling programs are capable of opening .obj wavefront files.

not yet. anyone who can use milkshape can reformat these if they know how, then pass them to the skinning guys.

The Hard Drive is still good and all of that. I need to get a few new things and i'm back up and running. With more ram and processing power too hopefully.

EDIT: I did have a comment about the Tron 2.0 glow for HL, but i realized my comp can't run it. Though it verc says its "low end"... my ass it is. requires atleast a radeon 9600.

Well... nothing majorly new. The sounds and sprites are set, but i'm running around with messed out defaults as of now.

I'm Loving CoolEdit96 right now. I have made several sound filters for this mod specifically. SO the sound quality is high and the ambient sound are well coordinated. DCC has test played it and is extremely dissapointed that the test was only 1 room and 1 hallway. He said that the sounds draw you in perfectly and the ambience makes you want to explore the whole world. This is the goal.

So far, all is well. Demo Soon.

Will be back again with updates.

Also might add because this got me thinking in the morning...Rimrook your a good mapper but please don't act like a school girl and go "Oh my God, I get stressed, I am great, brag brag..."

I did it once...Way over did it but I am grateful no-one used that to make fun of me...A sort of weak spot you could call it.

Working on the demo still. I'm waiting on the code portions. The weapons will have their lame defaults but thats it.

its a demonstration of the project and about 7 or 8 halls, rooms, and other areas will included. Fully loaded with some low-level puzzles, weapons, and upgrades.
