I am in a bit of trouble >.>

I bought Half Life 2, about 2 years ago now and i have been using it happily ever since. But my computer recently busted and broke.
So naturally i dug out the CD put it in the drive, it installs steam nd every thing. Steam opens up in my Games it says HL2 and CSS are Pre-loaded. so i double click them and i get taken to a buy now page... :(
I right click the pre-loaded icons and names again and i get "Purchase" which i have already done...

Can some one please help as i really need to kill some heasd crabs :)

Uh.. should be an option to "Activate games you already own" or somesuch.

Ah, there.
Just find your way to Steam -> Activate a product...
Follow the dialogue and you should be blasting combines in no time.

Are you logging in with the same account you used when you played HL2 before?

No, i stupidly forgot my password and when it says thank you and sends me my password to my email address i do not get an email.
It is the right adress as i did retirve my username to test it and that got sent to my inbox...

Do you think if i email steam they will reavtivate my account?

Maybe...But that's the only way you are going to get your HL2 game back. You installed it on 'that' account hence it still remains there.

Have you looked in junk mail if you are using Hotmail, on my computer the steam messages ended up in there.

Yeah, check the your Junk Email box. If you're using POP3 and have mail scanning from a virus scanner, try disabling it for a bit and request a new password again.
