Here's my problem:

I downloaded a movie, but it's sound's timing is off by about 2 seconds. Like, a person's mouth will move, then the words will come about 2 seconds later. :

I think this is quite common, and is a problem with the movie file itself ?

But does anyone know if there's a program which can edit the movie's audio or something; is there some way to shift up the movie's sound to make it start a few seconds earlier or later ?

Its usually caused by a VBR (variable bit rate) audio codec, Virtualdub could probably do it for you, or at a pinch you could adjust it every 20 minutes (if its getting more and more out of sync) with a program like ZOOMPLAYER, which has an option to adjust audio sync using the arrow keys

yes, it is. But I've got 26 episodes and it's the only one with a problem.

Media Player Classic is a good program. It can probably shift audio around; probably not permenantly, though.

Don't use media player. I recommend DIVX or Nero player. Most movies have no problems on these programs... exept the really damaged ones.

Nobody mentioned Media Player. The DivX and Nero players are lame. They're just they're 'cos they feel they should be.

I think windows movie maker could handel that problem... But hey i might be wrong...

Virtualdub might do it. I know it can extract the audio, so I'm guessing you may be able to re-add the audio at an earlier frame.

lol, thanks. I think VirtualDub would've worked, but it said that something was wrong with the file, so I couldn't save.
