Decal problem:

I have two problems here:

1.Decals:
When i spray large decals on walls they sometimes are repeated on the floor connecting to the wall. I put the decals as high as would look good and the "bounding box" in hammer isnt touching the floor either.
Any ideas?

Also how do i make a decal only show up on one side of a brush? Must it be +1 units to only show up on one side?

2. Explosions:
How can i create rooms next to a bombtarget where the player would be safe from the explosion? Or how can i change the magnitude? At the moment the only way to save yourself in my map is running as far as possible.

3. Point_viewcontrols:
I got 4 of these each with a hold time of 4. however when i start the map, its stuck at the first one and doesnt change.

1. Decals do that...They sometimes apply on two faces so try an overlay entity instead and see if that works.

2. Can't think of much except use point_clientcommand to trigger console to enable Godmode for so-so seconds.

3. Did you tell it to change to the name of the second one and so on..Like path_corners...They need to know where the next one is and so on.

ill try overlays when i get back on.

im not to familiar with the point_clientcommand thingy? if its complicated is there a good tut somewhere?

indeed i did not. silly me. do i configure it in the viewcontrol properties of the map properties?

sry that i asking instead of trying, but my compilers currently occupying hammer :/

2. Not complicated, just follow the properties by typing command and trigger it on.

Can't think of any way to make a explosion proof room cos the c4 explosion is sort of like... err... no-clip, if one can put it that way. However, change the bomb radius by putting an entity anywhere in the map "info_map_parameters" and changing the bomb radius. The GOD mode thing would be kinda unfair to anyone who happens to meet up with an enemy while the c4 explodes.
