Okie dokie folks!
As we all know, talk of TWHL3 has been floating around for a long, long while now. As a few of you know, a very very early version of TWHL3 exists, which you have been able to run through. This particular version was, of course, constructed by Alex.
However, Alex's commitments to University, plus his stance on waiting until IE7 is more widespread has prevented the further development of TWHL3. I've decided that this isn't acceptable considering that we've been using this version of TWHL for a good many years now and we are in dire need of an update to many areas of the site. As such, I'm throwing open the door to any and all talented PHP coders out there for you to come along and assist me in the completion of TWHL3. Keep in mind that his is a mammoth task, so true dedication is needed here, as well as fairly advanced knowledge of PHP. I have some very clear ideas as to where I want TWHL3 to go, which will of course be supported by as many ideas from the TWHL3 thread that we deem to be good/helpful enough to be included in the site.
You will be working with me (I don't know PHP myself, but I shall be overseeing the look of the site, as well as the implementation of features and the general functionality of the new site) and some other TWHL members. Should the workload become too overbearing, we may take on-board more than one coder. From my current viewpoint, it seems like this'll be the case.
It is time to bring TWHL back to its prime: as a site that's helpful to any and all who decide to come and stay. If you're interested, please PM me. You'll need to include examples of the work you've done, as well as display and aptitude for the work as well as assurance that you'll be dedicated and have the abilities to work in a team and take constructive criticsm. You will be working off the existing TWHL code, the current TWHL3 code and a temporary version of the TWHL database. If you are selected for the task, more information will be granted to you should you require it.
So, that's it. Good luck fellows!
