I used the tutorial , but I get a werid message in it , before it says failed.

It says - Image dimensions must be the power of 2.
I do not know what this means , It is from one of the texture sites , Ill post the link. If you can help me, I would really Aprecciate it!

Site is http://cgtextures.com/ , its machinery / buttons and its the first 1 , including 3 more buttons.

powers of 2 means... well...

take the number 2, multiply that by 2, which is 4. Multiply that by 2 and you get 8, times 2 equals 16, then 32, and 64. So on and on.

you will get an error if you use a resolution like 266 x 133. not powers of two. 256 x 128 is and that'll work.

But i think that the HL and HL2 engine doesn't care as long as it divisible by 16. Like the numbers 48, 96, and 384. However, a compression will be placed on it. Though it might not happen in source, i don't know it that well.

Start with common number like 64, 128, 256, and 512.

WEird. Anyway , Ill shove the TGAs on Filefront. Then you can edit them and give it back to me. I cannot still edit it. it does not say siz eor resoulion... Ill also post a screenie.
