[quote]Welcome to TWHL!
This announcement describes the rules of these forum boards. Old and new users alike - Please read and keep them in mind before posting replies or a new thread.
These are the laws of the forum. Obey.*
Before posting a question, please use our search function! You will find often find that your question has already been answered in the past. Questions that have been answered in previous threads will be closed or deleted.
*
Discussion of illegally pirated software and warez of any sort on the forum is terms for immediate suspension of your account. Piracy does not belong in this forum, nor do we condone such activities.
*
Consider which forum you are posting or replying into before you post/reply there. The root forum is always displayed while making a post or reply. Check before you hit the post button. Topics which are in the incorrect forum will be moved or deleted without notification.
- Members who spam the forum or perform otherwiseinappropriate activities will have their account suspended. Users who have created an alternate account for spamming purposes risk having both accounts suspended. Continual activity of this sort will result in a permanent ban from the forum system.
In addition, these
users will have their inappropriate posts deleted. Please do not reply to these posts or point out its inappropriateness. We will take relevant action, and replies of this nature just make it more difficult to clean up the original mess.
- The Stuff forum is for any general off-topic banter. It is not a spam board for useless posts. Users found spamming pointlessly in this board will face actions as described above.
- On a relevant note, Private Messaging spam also falls into the above rules. If you are a member with PM spam related issues, please contact an administrator in order to resolve the problem.
- If you are new to level design or the forum, please have a look at our tutorials and the 'Where to Start' page before posting questions. These are easily accessible on the left nav bar.
*
"Reviving" threads (i.e. posting in a thread that is more than a month old) is generally bad. Don't do it unless there's a valid reason.
- When in the mapping question boards, please post reasonable replies which may help the user on the problem or is a helpful comment. Saying something like "I tried this once" isn't very helpful. Something like "I tried this once and had a problem with the activator_class, so I used a logic_relay instead" is much more helpful. Replies such as "..." or other useless posts will be deleted without notice.
*
Racial or otherwise offensive remarks will result in a ban at an administrator's discretion, depending on the severity and intent of the remark.
Please keep in mind that the
administrators devote their time and effort to this community in order to keep it a helpful and informative place. Follow the appropriate rules, listen to the administrators, and you'll do fine. Administrators have the ability to revoke access privlidges to the forum and website system at their sole discretion.
Your access is a privlidge, not a right.Bear that in mind.
Treat the forum well, and it will treat you well in return. If you have any questions regarding any of the forum rules, any of the administrators are glad to help you!
