It's hard to tell how good it is from the trailer, but I hope it turns out well.

it looks bad, sorry.

Ha ha ha! Oh god.

I was wondering when the trailer would come out.

I can't believe they're making that shit.

I'm just glad that Vin Diesel didn't get the part of 47, cos I hear that was the original plan. That would've sucked so badly.

I like the whole character 47 though so I probably will have a look at the film.

Even though it'll probably suck.

Yet another generic action film featuring Vin Diesel.
m0p m0pIllogical.

m0p, it doesn't star Vin Diesel.

It was going to originally.

But not now.

They can't make a movie out of this the way the trailer has them going about it. 47 doesn't blow things up unless his job is to destroy and opperations, 47 doesn't sniper people in daylight unless its the only chance, 47 isn't contracted by, he's an agent of the agency. I want to kill whoever thought this up, ruining such a good game. And that actor for him? What the hell, 47 isn't anywhere near that young or stupid looking, he's like 50 and the only expression ever on his face is sullen and the glimmer in his eye is that of im going to kill everyone in this building if I damn well feel like it.

Although the few miniclips of him running around with his pistols looks like the fun way of doing "Traditions of the trade". Where instead of sneaking in as a business man you just walk in and start butchering everybody. But they shouldn't make a movie like that.

Typical. People just can't make a film on any game without making it look like a complete pile of shit.

Oh well...

I never watched the trailer, but I can guarantee it'll suck balls simply because the Hitman series sucked, 99% of action films suck and 99% of game-movie transitions suck.
m0p m0pIllogical.

You think this is bad? Wait until you see what Uwe Boll does with Far Cry!

Why is it that they take, in the first place, bad games, turn the plot around, making it even worse, then making a movie, which turns out to be horrible?

Do they not learn?

99% of game-movie transitions suck.
I'm curious, which movie is the last percentage? I've yet to see even one game-movie that turned out well :|
Posted 17 years ago2007-06-28 08:26:17 UTC Post #226663
as far as i know there aren't 100 game-movie transitions in existence, so according to that statistic, there may not be one until 100 have been created.

FF7: AC wasn't bad, I quite enjoyed it.

Yes that's a good game into movie conversion.

Resident Evil sucks but I quite liked Silent Hill. It reflected the horrors and sounds of the game and did it really well.

What I liked about Silent Hill was that if you hadn't played the game you could still watch the film, but you wouldn't pick up on everything.

Not the anime boob stuff again.
Tomb Raider(s) were good movies despite Jolie's amazing rack.
Advent Children was amazing.
(I think the Halo movie got scrapped)
The mario brothers movie was decent
Hitman... I'd watch it i say. I havent played it much, but it looks cool to me.

The DOA movie isn't anime.

And as far as I know, Jacksons still very interested in making the Halo movie a reality, there's just been a number of problems with directors and producers.

I like hitman, but I don't think it would make a good game, there would be no action, that is the whole point of 47, not to be seen. If there is a shoot out, there goes it's likelyness to the game. About 47 seeming younger, maybe it is supposed to be his early years? Although I would have liked a older dude though.

Halo movie would be good, in terms of how it stuck to the actual game, cause bungie would work with Jackson (who is a fan of the game), it wouldn't have just been handed off to a director.

Well, a couple of studios were going to join and fund it, but something happened, and I think Fox wanted Microsoft to pay a huge amount or something like that, basiclly it means it is put on hold. I think it will resurface once Halo 3 comes out, and maybe Fox or people will see potential.

I mean, I think of all games to do it with, Halo would be great, it has a huge fan-base, especially for it being so young. And Bungie would watch it so it doesn't get ruined, and Peter Jackson was even a fan. So much potential down the drain, oh well.

wtf, why is her name princess daisy???

DOOM was okay, but it failed as a game to movie thing. As far as game to movie... movies, they're only good if you haven't played the game, or they're just REALLY good.

Right now, one of the worst things I could see surfacing to the game movies world would be Grand Theft Auto.... we have enough movies about that... and it'd be repetitive.

waiting for trailer to load...

I for one luv Hitman, I have only played the first one and Contracts.
Agent 47 is one of my favorite game characters,
and if they keep his character and the basic plot the same as in the games, it has potential for a good movie.

But I think we all know that will never happen.
Posted 17 years ago2007-07-06 17:27:34 UTC Post #227625
k, just watched the trailer
About 47 seeming younger, maybe it is supposed to be his early years?
I fucking hope so.
But I thought 47 had no "early years" cos hes a clone,

I hate to say this, but I think a completely bald Bruce Willis could look like 47... maybe?

The action didn't look so bad to me.

The one thing I am dreading is a possible love story, (because it seems that every movie has one).
I think that a love story could be pulled off well in this movie, but I doubt it will be.
Posted 17 years ago2007-07-06 18:25:55 UTC Post #227638
I agree, Bruce Willis probably would make a pretty good 47. I don't think this will turn out very good. Hitman isn't something that can be easily translated into a motion picture.
