Indeed. You could have just kept going with your other thread and added this info there but never mind. I must say the mapping does look quite good. Its hard to pull off decent looking outdoor areas in Gldsrc so you've impressed me there. One thing I will say is make sure you get some custom skins on those models. Feel free to ask for help with that...in like...2 months :(

Now I 've got only two active threads.. one for each of my
projects .

For Urbanebula: no it's not Gldsource it's.. sigh.. old HL 1 stuff :quizzical:
I don't have a copy of Halflife2 (I've got for Xbox) so I can't map
for it.
I hate editing models and I'm not very skillful .. it's so boring with Milkshape

mmh .. I was wondering why it's so hard to finish a mod while starting a new one is piece of cake ..
good mappers are those who know how to complete their works.. mah
there's too much stuff to care of in a mod.. but why I'm saying that?

Looks decent. The mapping style reminds me of They Hunger, in that it's very interesting but not necessarily very high quality. Everything still looks quite chunky.

... Everything still looks quite chunky, and I see some grotesquely stretched tree textures. In fact, I'd try to subdue your usage of trees just a bit, and sprinkle some rocks in there too. You're not going to fool anybody no matter what you do, but it could at least the woods could have more depth.

I don't know, I think I kind of like this style. It's deceptively cheesy.

P.S. I know those 2D trees are a bitch to work with, I've done a lot of stuff with them. You just have to make sure every one is aligned to the face instead of the world, and then manually adjust the position of them all. It's time consuming, but it sure pays off.

'Cept that had fog to mask its cheesiness a bit, and give it incredible atmosphere. Plus, it was running at such a low resolution anyway you couldn't even make out details like that. :P

those tree textures are a pain in the ass cause once rendered they have ugly black borders all around so you've got to manually resize them
..anyway it's only decent way I know for stuff like woods :
as for the plot do ya think it's decent enough ?
and what about changin all to a dark nighttime setting ?

Please someone could give me skins(or a complete model) for Martha model (Gordon wife in my mod).. it's the holo model from valve .pak .. obviously original orange suit doesn't fit for my purpose, real life women dress should work.

I think it's cleared up in the intro tram ride in HL1 that gordon is single :)

It's the same model, it's just that the render settings are changed so she's transparent. Also, her name is Gina Cross (not Gina Freeman), and she's been used in a retail game before, so I don't know how that would work out.

yeah, just look for the satellite dish and shoot anything on the way, of course there is the detour with the key and the safe and the grenade launcher, but lets not get into that. :-P

I'd like a finished holo.mdl but with real life woman dress
replacing orange standard suit. Since she's supposed to live in a farm
she should wear some kind of jeans , boots and a white or pink blouse..
and maybe could also change hair a bit.

Another doubt: In order to make her move and do things do I have to use scripted sequence right ? or is there another way..

And also I desperately need a green (not black) Human assassin model ..they should look like aliens after all.
