Its like a pipe from a factory, where the un-need-able smoke and toxic goes out. I dont know whats the english word is. But I bet you know what I mean!

Thats called a smokestack, also known as a big ass chimney.

I believe there's one in Source. Unless this is for HL1, you either have to model it yourself or make it out of brushes.

It's probably easier to just make one in Hammer out of brushes. You need it for a map amarite?

env_smoker is a cs entity afaik btw... = (

You can make a smoke effect using sprites tho. I always use:

Spite name:sprites/stmbal1.spr"
Rendermode: additive
Fx amount: 255

Mess around with individual ones with varying framerates, scale and opacity, and you can get a pretty fair smokey effect. you can also experiment with different sprites or find some to download for better effects.

Whats wrong with brush based? Personally, though, I'd make a spike and chop off the top in noone would get up there. U can make stuf like than easily in :hammer:
