If there ever was a super powerful Jesus then I'm sure he wasn't born on the 24th/25th.

Do I believe in Christmas? Well Christmas is a celebration of the birth of jesus of Nazareth, who would be hailed as the son of God. I don't doubt for a second that Jesus was a real person, its been recorded in a lot more than the Christian Bible that there was a real Jesus, but not that he was the son of God. I believe that some assassins ("3 kings", though they were never numbered, and only recognized as 3 because of the number of gifts) were ordered to find and kill Jesus when he was born, and refused to when they got there. I don't believe they were visited by angels on their way.
I believe it as a historical event, not in the religious context.

That's the first not-spam response.
Thank you.

Well I believe in Christmas. No, there's no Santa but at least these celebrations makes you more happy and you feel ( at least I ) less stressful and a lot more opened to the other people.
I also believe in god. I don't want this thread to be full of flame spame, we should stay on topic. But just one observation ... I see more and more people are becoming atheists.

Proove me god doesn't exist. Show me how the matter was created before the big bang. If I were to believe in your words, we shouldn't exist. This Universe shouldn't exist. But we do ...(off-topic ...)

This...

...makes this such a joke. We've been down this road so many times before, and nobody ever has a good answer, because the damn question can't be asnwered. And you know this.
But if you are seriously expecting some real answers, all you're going to get is sensless skepticism and scientific theories.

Prove to me that I'm not God. Prove to me that you even exist.

[Edit] Spam deleted. Shit, I'm spaming to easy :|
Well you see , I can't proove that. But you can proove God doesn't exist.

Back to Christmas. I can't wait for presents xD

Nobody can truly prove the existence of anything outside of assuring their own self that they exist.
If you think that it's possible to prove that God doesn't exist, but impossible to prove that I exist, then you don't deserve to have your question answered because you clearly don't understand what you are asking.

This is one of those questions in which it's beauty lies in having no answer. This question relies solely on belief. You either believe it or you don't.

As for Christmas, well.... The only thing I like about it is the presents. Otherwise, I hate it. Spending a ton of money, going through nasty Christmas weather, being forcefully couped up with some family members that I despise with all my heart (Luckily that won't be happening this year, as they're all on a different continent), cleaning up afterwards, suffering from bouts of sickness from eating/drinking too much crap. The list goes on and on.

I believe in Christmas seeing as it happens every single year. I like Christmas day because its the one day of the year I'm not paying out for fucking Christmas day.

SPOILER: Christmas is a ball ache when you get your own place.

No I don't "believe" in christmas since I'm not religious, but my family celebrates it so naturally I'm included as well. People here have been celebrating Midwinter for over 7000 years, way before Christianity made it's appearance. So even if you're not religious, you can celebrate it without feeling like a hypocrit :P

Jesus was born on September 10th, some how it was merged with the Greek celebration of the winter solstice and the good will towards men with lots of gifts (and gay sex). It wasn't until sometime in the 1200's when a German monk in a red robe named Nicholas brought toys to the poor children of a local village on winter solstice still being celebrated. They nick named him Sinterklaus, or St. Nicholas, not to be confused with the chrstian St. Nicholas.

How Jesus got thrown into it is beyond me, but I think it was adopted since the gift of the birth of Christ, and how people share gifts gifts in the stable likely has something to do with it.

I think I've typed this for the last 3 years now. sorry for the nerdage.

On topic, do I believe in Christmas? Yes. I believe it the spirit of it more than the icons that sell it.
