above is a tutorial on how to code derived monster classes.

Yeah I followed the code and tried to make a clean suit scientist in the vse 2008, but apparently it doesn't compile saying "base class undefined" even with full build. So, I made a full copy of scinetist code and put it in a new file. That works. But I have seen that derived monster classes code work on you guys's projects. What went wrong? And no, I am not planning to pay real money for a real IDE.

I would have thought this was redundant with Spirit of Half-Life.

It is, unless you want them to not take certain damage types or not give needles.
But maybe he's not using Spirit?

yeah, I used the normal source code, not spirit. I have spirit code but like Jeffmod says, the cleansuit does not mean to heal the player. But still does anyone know why I can't make derived classes..?

ninja defuse, do you know what is the "mainstream" method of compiling the sdk? because with the 2008 express I have to modify like, 100 things in the code to make it work up to now. You can tell it was no easy trip down yellow brick road doing this if you saw all my previous forum topics.

I know its not allowed to post warez here, but i don't really think Microsoft gives a crap anymore, its an old piece of software anyway, and unfortunatly, its the only software that is compatible with the HL SDK.

So here you go: MSVCPP60SE
