Wait.

I don't think you get the picture.

Are you mapping for Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike Source? There's a big difference between the two.

Actually on second rethink, he says 3.5, and that doesn't look like source. What?
Are you mapping for source or not?

Tell me, you aren't bychance trying to use 3.5 for source, are you?
I think he is. :pwned:

non steam css
What?
I'm fairly sure he means pirated CSS.
So, really, we shouldn't be helping him.

I'm relatively certain nobody gives two shits about his non-steam CSS, although it does lower his creditability considerably, it's not low enough we can't at least attempt to help.

My suggestion to OP: Quit. If you can't even work out what the correct tools are for the game engine, then I'm not sure anybody wants you making maps.

Don't be so harsh crollo. The first time I ever tried to map I had no idea HOW, somehow got my hands on Hammer (2.2? don't remember) but then I had no idea how to convert that into a playable map (I got to the point of renaming map.rmf to map.bsp). Although I was on dialup back then so internet access was scarce at best.

That said, I'm not sure I understand the question. Most likely due to English not being this user's first language.

Why is it that rookie forum posters all over the internet - especially those to whom English is a new thing - write all in lowercase and barely use any punctuation? I never, ever, did such a thing. Has humanity degraded global perceptions of etiquette that much?

Then Counter-Strike: Source isn't even remotely related to the problem, why bother mention it, and more so when we ask what you're mapping for, why state that you're trying to make maps for Counter-Strike: Source? You're just shooting yourself in the foot here support wise.

Also, because this forum uses a different system it's understandable you don't understand the edit system, so when you post something it puts a edit button next to your username [only if you're the last person to post something], please use this function from now on.

As you don't have a ATI graphics card, that is unusual that you have the infamous 'select behind' glitch, are you sure you're not actually using ATI Graphics Adaptor, and not the Integrated SIS Chipset?

Look in Tools > Options > 3D views

Change the value of "Reverse selection order" (near the bottom of the tab) and see if that fixes your problem.
