I can imagine them finding his location and then sending 50 helicopters to nuke the place. America fuck yeah! coming to save the motherfucking day yeah!

But seriously, now I am upset that I live in London which is a potential target :S
Besides, who actually believes Bin laden was really the bad guy?

I'm sorry, have anyone noticed news like these?

And then this.
It might be a childish presumption, but do you feel the connection?

I have a bit of fear, although I'm skeptical. I had a thought about interesting myself where I could buy some potassium iodide, but uhm, I feel it's exagerated to think about this right now. And about a safe shelter against nuclear blasts, the only good basement I know is literally flooded with shit, and there are some caves, but they are 2-3 km from here.

Londoners will be expecting them. Romanians, on the other hand... :P

Striker, go downtown and buy a padlock. Then use it on the gate to one of those caves you mentioned. Also, put a sign on it that says "RESERVED FOR TWHL - NO ENTRY".

The rest of us will proceed to add more concrete and safe doors to our basements.

If a nuclear bomb went off near you would you actually try to survive in your basement during all the radiations? I'd say that would be hell, the type of shit that could do to your body, even if you escape the area you still might be pissing blood for the next couple of years.

That depends on whether said basement is appropriately built. Remember to pack a few radiation suits in case you need to venture outside.

So what? They think if they killed Osama they finished with Al Kheida? Haha

America does nothing but f*** up peoples countries, when some one tries to do something for the good of its country and it goes against Americas will they automatically become terrorists. Example of that is Gadafi.

Whilst I usually would agree that American imperialism is, at best, incredibly tiring and arrogant (and their allies, who fall into lockstep behind them, urgh) I don't think Gaddafi is really a good example. I mean, its a bit hard to say hes doing something good for his country when he is intent on killing ever last man, woman and child that opposes him (and I do not exagerate here, he has proclaimed he will show no mercy). Even when he was questioned on this, he claimed, iniatially, that his people loved him, even whilst they were rebelling.

So yeah, Considering Gaddafi's rather ruthless attitude to people trying to form a democracy in Libya, I would say that intervention, of some form, was kinda needed.

Going back to Osama, I would agree more with, for the first and last time, Stephen Harper when he said that he felt "sober satisfaction" at Osama's death.

Until you know what you are talking about you really shouldn't comment on something as serious as this. Go comment about Japan or something....

America! Fuck Yeah!

I don't think Bin Laden ever, ever stood up and said, "hey guys, I didn't do it. you got the wrong person".....

Please.....he's dead....bring it!

I really, really don't think any of you have a freaking clue what you are talking about. Imperial America? That's a laugh in itself.

Again, without Imperial America you would all be kneeling to Hitler....

If you want to defend someone then defend Saddam Hussein. At least we have something real to talk about.

Until then, learn some history, respect your position in the world, and stop belly-aching that America is the worst thing ever. Let's remember, if we go then you will probably not be far behind.

If you check your facts, we didn't start this little war with Libya. Hell, we really don't even want to be involved. We don't have the money for it. I do believe it's Britain and France that want him gone from their backyard, or frontyard. However, you want to look at it.

Europeans really have a slanted view of something they know very very little about. (world politics) Do you watch the news? (real news) and have you correctly read all your history books (not the ones from school).

I had thought about living in Europe but on second thought I don't think I do because I would be getting into these arguments all the time. I am a good patriot of my own country and I think I will stay.

America! Fuck yeah!

and Martyr's don't do well at the bottom of the sea!! Which is where he was dumped. His family didn't even want him so what does that tell you? Maybe they didn't want it to affect their Microsoft stock....

I really feel that America is vindicated and justice has been served on the right person. We, America, spend alot of money making sure that you can all make these asinine comments, so let's remember our places. At least we have the courage to stand up for injustice instead of sitting back waiting for something to happen. Nobody is safe from Terrorism or the radical ideas that go along with it. Nobody can afford to sit by and let them retain any momentum towards their final goal which is to rid the planet of everyone but themselves. Is that what you really want?

And nobody is safe, not even Poland....

"sober satisfaction"? yes! I personally remember 9-11 quite well.....

I think what pisses me off more than anything is the amount of anti-American attitude this site generates. I mean seriously....WTF.

I really hate getting mad about it but at least I am enough of a patriot to at least defend what I believe in.

If any one of your countries got attacked in three separate places as we did then you would want blood too. Even 10 years later....

It doesn't matter if America is bad or worst country or started any shit, if Osama killed millions of people using hijacked airplanes then the person at fault is indeed Osama. You can say America went and intervened in a Country X and prevented country X from becoming rich, or make progress, or killed a beloved leader of country X. Is country X justified to kill a million Americans because of that? If yes, explain

Aaaah, the intelligent, educated discourse between gentlemen :)
He reformed Libya, made it the riches country in Africa. He did more than enough.
Obviously not, since, well, his own people rose up against him, literally requesting the assistance of the western world after he started mindlessly slaughtering everyone. (Also, the Libyan economy is way inferior to say the Egyptian. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_African_countries_by_GDP_%28PPP%29) The biased "America is the devil!" view that rose in europe during the Bush-era is stupid, but somewhat understandable. But yes, anyone sensible would not outright dislike an entire country. The American view that the USA is the only power in the world capable of defending an western lifestyle is also, however, fairly ridiculus. The EU has a common defense policy since the Lisbon Treaty was put in effect, and has three great powers as members: the UK, France and Germany, who together could match the US armed forces.
Wheres the proof that he actually did do it? As far as I can tell the twin towers were blown up by explosives not airplanes.
The proof is there, and it's more credible than anything the tinfoil-hats have produced.

Erm, I do believe that actually started in the middle east, when the Saudi's allowed America to build bases on its soil. I think thats when the whole "America is the devil" thing started. Europe joined in once Bush came along yes?

Well, he did give the country a terrible reputation. And that will haunt them for a while now.

STILL, raise hands those brainwashed into thinking "AMERICA ALWAYS SAVES THE WORLD". You can't go "saving the world" every time some asshat takes over some remote country - especially if you're not even directly affected. Such decisions should be made by a neutral group of countries in an international hearing. That's what The Hague is for.

Don't blame the people - it's the shitty governments' fault. BUT, do blame those gullible enough to accept their bullshit and support pointless wars without second thought. This kind of people exists in every country, though, but what can you do?

I have to agree that sometimes when America messes with countries they end up worse than they were before. i.e. Cuba

If I remember correctly, they had a nice democratic government after the revolt but we decided to take control and that fucked things up. Not saying communism is all that bad, but the poor isn't doing very well, and Fidel Castro isn't exactly the nicest leader.
