As time goes on my dreams are beginning to get more lucid and more life-like [realisticetc] then before, and for once in my life I'd actually had been able to fly, with full control of myself.

I don't remember this too clearly as it was a good while ago [weeks, maybe even months], but as I remember I was sitting at my window looking out at some fireworks show that was apparently going on, and I saw some massive building all the way at the opposite end of the horizon, for some reason I felt I wanted to go to this building and so, I just simply.... Floated out of the window? To say, and then I was just flying. Lucid as I was I just started towards the building and then just did a bunch of laps around the corners of it, then I just went to another dream.

I don't remember colors in that dream [Maybe the fireworks], but one thing I can easily remember is that I'd had several, if not dozens of dreams so far that have utilized some form of colors, perhaps for emphasis on certain objects of interest, or the entire dream was in color, it is usually on things that one would consciously associate colors with, for example cars.

I dreamed my first calculation ever yesterday. I multiplied 500 by 4.2, the result being something I 'appreciated' around 2000-2200. Which is pretty exact(2100). Actually, that was a currency conversion :P.

I've been taking 5-hydroxytryptophan, basically boosts serotonin levels. It helps me have dreams every night, just as a personal note of mine, the chemical is more so used for depression. Although I feel my dreams are a little too bizarre to share. They almost always pertain to current personal issues, but they don't exactly make the most sense.

I don't dream - none that I can remember, anyway. On rare occasions (two or three times a year) I will wake up in the middle of the night with a huge jolt, for seemingly no reason at all. I can only assume that it's because of a dream, but I guess I'll never know, because I can never actually recall any sort of dream.

I just have pretty standard dreams, as far as I know. People and places from my life (places are usually altered, yet somehow I still know what location they are), just usually in random situations (usually without much logic behind them), and with very little actual link between sections.

Also, I am usually "feebled" (for want of a better word) in my dreams. For example, sometimes I'll be simply unable to move when confronted by something. In one I was desperately trying to get a message to my girlfriend, but when texting I simply could not get the typing right. Often I cannot achieve my short term goals in my dreams, simply because events continually impede me.

EDIT: While I'm on the topic, a couple weeks ago I had a dream that me and my girlfriend had a kid, and at the same time there was some psycho (looked like simon pegg and acted kinda like a kid who went to my primary school for a while, who actually was a little psycho) who seemed determined to either kill me or my family or both, something like that. Scared me, to be honest.

I once had a recent dream where it was dark, and I said "Is this a dream?" Then I woke it. It was weird.

Not entirely sure if you're just being your humorous self, or if you're being honest. For many people one of the first hurdles of learning to lucid dream is to stay dreaming once you have figured out you are in a dream. Most people tend to just wake up as soon as they realise.

I write my interesting one's in a dream journal. Strange though, I can't find my favorite one. It seems to have gone missing.

One cool part from a dream i've had: There was a big tree with massive ridges and to the touch it was a light wood like balsa. The tree had a huge hole in the base of it like a little cave and inside was filled with spider webs. Huge fruits the size of basketballs were growing on the tree. I took my shoe off and threw it at one and knocked it out of the tree and caught it and tore off a chunk and ate it. It tasted like a big orange mixed with grape fruit but a little less flavor and was really good.

Yes I have wonderful dreams.

I just recently had my first "lucid" dream. I realized that I was dreaming because I changed something on purpose and than realized I was dreaming so I ran and jumped and began flying in a movie auditorium and than I woke up. It was so awesome to control what I was doing.

A few days ago I had a dream where I had a magic wand, there seemed to be rules to its use, but generally I was able to do pretty much whatever I wanted. The first thing I did was when I made cocoa and flour and stuff appear so I could make myself a brownie. I don't remember much else, except that near the end I tried to make myself a Gordon Freeman costume. I make a HEV suit, but I couldn't finish the costume. By this point the rules to use the wand seemed to have changed, I had to write down what I wanted rather than just saying it. I couldn't finish the costume because I was trying to get the Civil Protection pistol, I kept trying to write 'HK USP Match, 9mm, silver slide. Doesn't eject casings'. I couldn't fit it all on the paper, so the costume remained unfinished.

A few days before that I had a lucid dream, but it took a lot of effort to make things happen, and I had to fight to stay asleep. All in all it was pretty uneventful.

I was being honest.

I remember one dream I had that I will never outdream. It was called "The Blackbeetle Dream". It began when I was on the top of my driveway. I saw a large beetle the size of a football that was black. The pattern's on its shell moved showing different designs of black and white. I had my grandfather squish it.

Eventually, I began to joke that I saw another one. When I looked, there was actually another one, and my grandfather squished it again. The next thing I knew, the entire driveway was filled with these weird beetles. We attempted to squish our way down the driveway. Then a bunch of tall green ants had fishing poles with black bettles hooked onto them. At the end of the dream, I was at the bottom of the driveway and it said "Are you ready?" It then pointed its fishing pole at me and I woke up.

I hate bugs.

I've actually had dreams before where I type noclip in the console and fly thru shoddy architecture. Then Kate from Azure sheep was trying to gun me down.

Most recent dream was myself dying. From that point on I was able to roam around a distorted version earth that ended with my 'soul' finding my body and coming back to life (that was my cue to wake up). An interesting dream I must admit... and no I don't play WoW.

I just had a dream where for some reason miranda cosgrove was at my house, and I got a picture with her. (I gave her bunny ears.)

I also acted as a motivational speaker for her agent and took an hour to find a working camera. And at one point, I had buried myself and put a sheet over my head to avoid upset monkeys?

Longish post:
I've had a few silly dreams lately. A few nights ago I had a dream where I had an airsoft MG42. I have a few friends who like airsoft, so I expected them all to be jealous, but nobody cared.

Last night I had a really weird dream. I was in some kind of arena, the sides were made up of buildings that looked like they were from the old west. It seemed to be some kind of place where you could battle someone to the death for fun. I got the impression I often used the place, and I had a scoped rifle in my hand, apparently my favourite weapon. I climbed up a ladder to a metal platform, to snipe my opponent from. When I got up there though it had inexplicably become really narrow, and I couldn't stay on there without holding on to something. At this point I realised the only ways down were falling, or trying to get back to the ladder to climb down. Even though I knew it wouldn't harm me because it was a dream, I didn't particularly relish the idea of either option, so I forced myself to open my eyes and wake up. I fell asleep a short while later, to find myself at the bottom of the ladder in the arena. Since I couldn't effectively use the rifle, I took out a knife and proceeded to try to find my opponent. We ended up fighting with knives, and even though I was more accurate with my stabs, nothing seemed to hurt him. He grappled me to the ground, and slashed at my eyes. I stabbed him again, even though I was blind I felt the knife go through his spine. When that didn't work I aimed for his wrists, to sever the nerves and tendons. Once again, I felt the knife go through, but it didn't affect him. I ended up losing the fight, to my dismay. D:

tl;dr: Stupid magic cheating cowboy beat me in a knife fight.

I dreamed that I felt a small, fleshy lump on my lower jaw gum. I checked a mirror to find that the lump was the root of one of my teeth. The tooth had broken in half, and the top half was resting between my gums and lips. The lower half was hollow and bleeding.

Maybe it shouldn't have been, but it was quite terrifying.

I rushed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth the second I woke up :|
I plan to buy some mouthwash and floss today.

Well recently I woke up hearing something behind me, I was scared shitless so I stayed still, my body would go cold with goosebumps every 10secs or so then back to normal then cold, then normal.. I heard something. and all of a sudden something lightly tapped my pillow then it was gone.

The presence was so strong, I've never experienced anything like it.

I was afraid to go to sleep the following night. But all is well.

Not really a dream, but it was scary.

I get it a lot.
Posted 13 years ago2011-08-16 10:35:52 UTC Post #298030
I have never had sleep paralysis. Apparently you can induce by ignoring the urge to roll over when you're going to sleep. It is a mechanism to check if you are asleep, and if you stay still, you trick your brain into believing you are asleep and you enter REM sleep.
Posted 13 years ago2011-08-16 12:28:28 UTC Post #298035
I tried that once. I began to see and hear things, tiny sparkly lights and children singing. At one point there was a sound like someone talking on a radio with really bad sound quality. However I didn't feel paralysed at all, then I fell asleep.

My mom works in a sleep lab and at a sleep clinic.

First, for some reason I was at school and I didnt have any lunch. So I took out a spoon and ate this other kid's. Then I woke up.

Then I dreamt that my school was having something where we show several different exhibits? My friend Andy and I were in some sort of thing where there was this random crap everywhere. Then later I explained that a television show was based on Final Fantasy.

Last night I had a dream in which me and a friend (I assume, I don't know who it was) stole an experimental inflatable bodied helicopter from a military base. It had seats side by side, and for some reason it had tandem controls. The friend used two joysticks, and I used one. We flew around a bit, doing different things, and eventually ran low on fuel. We flew back to the military base at night, and refueled in secret. We flew away again, and did some more things. Eventually we returned it back to the base, and managed to get away without the various security teams capturing or identifying us.
All in all, I think it was a good dream.

Just had one where there were ghosts in the closet right next to my bed. They were making noise so I opened my closet and saw my hanging clothes moving around vigorously. I showed my brother.

Then I had a cool dream where the sky was grey and I was in a vast field of hay. I saw a gigantic white tail deer look at me and than dash off very quickly into the woods.

I wouldn't have posted these dreams but the first one got me scared because of what happened today. I went shopping for some needed supplies for homework and when I returned home a few hours later I went upstairs and set my supplies in the hallway. Than I headed downstairs and as I was going I heard a thud in my brother's room. I went to his room and checked it out but didnt see anything. Than I went to my room but the door was locked! I assumed that either someone else was in my house and locked it or I accidentely locked it and the thud was anything else "most likely".

So I grabbed my dad's 9mm and unlocked my door through its hole with a screwdriver and busted in. Nothing was there but my room's closet has an attic door so I checked the pretty much the entire attic and didn't see anything. There are a few corners I didn't get around to but I think I will wait until someone else gets home to check it out.

It was just weird that I had the nightmare of ghosts in my closet and than this happened the morning after.
