Urbeh! You can grab it by logging into Steam by browser and then by clicking "INSTALL GAME". You don't have to use the installed Steam platform to grab it.

Huh, seems one of Tripwire's games got a pretty big update, and surprise, it's on sale (plus Free Weekend). Well, that's one mystery solved.
