Just a sketch, focussing somewhat on proportions. You like? :)
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 09:59:29 UTC Post #34617
Err, looks hiphopper like, but not like a girl. Girls often have those things below their neck ... I think they're called breasts.
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:03:38 UTC Post #34619
Me knows. I haven't really accented them since it was to do about the proportions. The face isn't really detailed too, it's sketchy indeed.

Would make a cool skater. The hair is a bit sticky, too. It looks like glued to the head. but it's quite good for a sketch.
what do you want to do with it? HL-Skaters mod? :) or just for fun?
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:22:02 UTC Post #34623
Just for fun. I saw a class-photo from a class from school and somehow it inspired me to draw this. Heh, you gotta see how many sketches fly around my room... I almost count them in kilogrammes instead of numbers... :)

Bytheway, you draw too?
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:27:39 UTC Post #34627
Used to, but I stopped some time ago. I draw technical sketches for some of my maps though.
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:31:58 UTC Post #34628
Yeah, I find drawing out your map idea's first pretty helpfull too.

Why did you stop drawing? No interest anymore or it didn't really worked out that good?
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:34:45 UTC Post #34630
I don't have the time to do it anymore because of the school. But in 6 days my 6 week summer holidays start. Maybe I'll find some time to draw.
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:41:17 UTC Post #34633
Heh, I used to draw during a lot of lessons... economy provided some excellent drawing-hours, as did Latin, since I never translated anything during those lessons. Not the last year, that is. :)
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:44:39 UTC Post #34635
How do you draw in lessons without the teacher noticing it?
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:51:00 UTC Post #34639
Unless I was just making small sketches, the teachers did notice. The one for economy didn't have a problem with it since I was pretty good at economy, and Latin... well, only 2 or 3 persons actually did something in the lessons...
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 10:54:10 UTC Post #34640
You seem to have very kind teachers. None of my teachers'd let me draw in the lessons even if had 15 points all the time.
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:01:27 UTC Post #34641
Yeah, maybe it's because it was a fairly small school (600 pupils). I also think you'll get closer to the teachers in the last schoolyears.
This economy-teacher has the same first name as I do, that might also be an explanation... :P
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:06:42 UTC Post #34642
Whoo! Only 600 pupils? Here in Berlin the heavily reduce the amount of school by simply fusioning 3 or to one school. This sux!!! We've got 1200 pupils and the schoolhouse is really really small. Plus: 10 teachers had to leave the school this year. GNNNN!
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:11:32 UTC Post #34643
That's a bad development indeed...

Berlin? Heh, previous year I've been to Berlin on vacation. Really impressive city... :)

He cool, have you been in the TV tower?
Too bad I can't really remeber my visit to amsterdam. Been 6 six years old.
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:31:28 UTC Post #34650
Yeah, I've seen Berlin from the TV tower. Really large... almost everywhere I looked I saw city...

Heh, I don't live in Amsterdam. I'm from a small city in the north of Holland, called Leeuwarden. 80.000 citizens. A small and quite place, just what I want... :)
Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:39:10 UTC Post #34651
Is it near the sea? It's quite dangerous to live near the northern sea in the netherlands, right?
btw: I can remeber one thing from holland, I think. Incredibly good pancakes. I hope I didn't mix up things again. Could've also been in Denmark, it's sooo long ago.

Posted 20 years ago2004-06-18 11:47:43 UTC Post #34654
yes you can, but i dont think for long anymore. and that is good,

@hazardous, living near the north sea is only dangerous if our dykes break. i live 5 km from the north sea. and it isnt dangerous :D

Yes, not only in amsterdam, everywhere in the netherlands as far as I know. And policemen are not allowed to frisk you.
You're allowed to do that in germany too, but you mustn't own more than 6 gramms of dope.

Prostitution too, right?

If theres one thing that pisses me off the most (nowadays anyhow) is skateboarding. I mean, I have seen kids on skateboards going up to the pavement edge, trying to 'grind', fall over, and do it all again, and repeat this process on and on. And I think, "well, I suppose that was fun : ".

Sorry, I'm becoming a cynic.

Yes, I was there about 3 weeks ago, and I tell you what it is the best place in the world for being actually able to walk into a bar/coffee shop and roll a spliff. Man, you people don't know what your missing.

I hope they dont change the law because having places designated to allow people to smoke weed means that people will not dabble in hard drugs. There is that same old argument, "Oh well cannabis leads users to hard drugs", which ofcourse is utter bollocks.

P.s. go here www.artbyfeng.com

if you want to check out some quality art ;)

Very interesting, Jahzel... thanks.

Although it's a different style than mine, it might still be very helpfull. I remember having seen some of Feng's work in a games magazine, while ago.

Let's get drawing... :)

Well, after CP and me leaded this thread completely offtopic, I want to post something concerning sketches.
Guess what! A sketch!
This drawing is about one year old, I drew it when I was still believing that my mod 'Master of Time' had had any chance to come out.
This guy is the master of time, that's why he has a sandglass in his left hand.
It doesn't look very good and I didn't colorize it, but have a look at it yourself:

A completely different style than mine I must say. Sort of this japanese styled cartoon.

A bit of a static pose but that's a common problem I guess. Not so bad after all though. Heh, you should really start again! :)

Start again with making sketches I mean... :)

Yep, I'll probably find some time for working on my little mappack, which also includes drawing sketches.
Also because drawing is a pretty important component of making games. And I intend to work in this branche.

We seem to have many similarities, hazardous!... :)

Hehe. Yup, when I was browsing your website, I often saw things that reminded me of myself.
I know it's offtopic again, but there's one thing you really need to do.
