Theres not been much out of Valve lately about Half-Life 2, are they possibly revamping the graphics because of all the other game releases? The graphics would have been State-Of-The-Art if the hackers haden't
hacked the source code.

Also, what will Valve do after Half-Life 2 and all of its expansion packs are finished? Practicly everything they've don has been based around Half-Life.

In an interview, Newell said they'd have it to Vivendi by August. (Provided no more hackers come along). VALVe is probably finishing up things, doing box artwork, those little pre-release things. I doubt they would re-vamp the graphics engine, that would take way too long and be pointless for a game that has come this far.

After HL2, I suppose VALVe will work on Steam, as from what I can tell, they plan to license it to businesses for their programs, and they'll probably develop patches and levels and such for HL2 and CS2. They might possibly work with Gearbox to develop (hopefully) OpFor2 and BlueShift2, and after that, probably start work on a new game/game engine, or some development tools.

I doubt there'll be a BS2, and I'm not sure about OpFor2 either really.

There is a BS2. It's the HLPS2 Map format ;) .

The names will probably be different than just adding a '2' at the end. I don't think there will be a 'Blue-Shift2', but I'm hoping for 'OpFor'....whatever did happen to Shepard after he got taken away by teh g33 man? I know Barney shows up in City 17, there's just as good a chance that Shepard does as well.

g33 man detained Shepard and 'employed' Freeman, but Barney is 'Out of Reach' and knows a bit too much about Black Mesa, so he's obviously not in g33 man's plans. Hmm.....all this mystery shall be revealed when HL2 arrives.

Aren't they redoing the original Half-Life in the Source engine? If they're doing that then I'm sure they'll convert Opposing Force and Blue Shift over as well. If not then I'm sure some Mod team will.

Yes, they're porting over HL to Source. That will be a very tasty port.

OpFor and Bshift may be converted, but will we ever figure out what happens next with the two sub-characters? Will we ever know what happens to Shepard and Calhoun? Stay tuned :P !

Replaying OpFor and Shift in Source will be good and all, but I want to know why Shepard got taken away and what he's up to, not just hear about Gordon's happy little adventure. What happened to Calhoun after he drove off with some scientists one afternoon at Black Mesa? What were those anomalous materials people dabbling in, anyways? Have you gotten the beverage machine to work yet? Can we do this later? Who is teh g33 man? Are you running those tunneling lattice calculations again? What is that stench? And why do we all have to wear these ridiculous ties? These , my friends, are the REAL questions I want answered in Half-Life 2!

And you forgot the BIG one:

"Hey, catch me later I'll buy you a beer!"

WILL GORDON GET THE BEER?

I read an interview that either Sierra or Valve is gonna finish up the newer games like HL2 and then get shut down. The parent company is losing money or something like that.

i heard that shepard is back working on the same side as freeman, but he still hates him (why shepard hates freeman when theyve never met and all he heard of him was from a few distressed grunts never got through to me.)

Because Gordan didnt wash his hands before the expieriment and all went crazy. So everyone hates Gordan. :)

Epic (are they still epic?) is working on the Unreal3 engine already. So why shouldn't there be a HL3 team at valve?
Btw, DOOM3 is finished too.
Now we only need Stalker, then we have 3 good reasons to buy a new PC.

I heard that VALVe has already given the green light to HL3 but i dont know if this is true or not. I too wish to see what happens to Calhoun and Adrian. But most of all, I WANT HL2!!!

There should be a Half-Life 2: Opposing Force in which you play HL2 as Shephard like they did with the original Op4
m0p m0pIllogical.

but didnt they say you work along side Shepard in HL2? So it would be the samething as HL2 as Gordan. Just you being Shepard.

You work alongside Barney, that I know.

Sierra is closing, thanks to Vivendi. Apparently it doesnt produce enough money for the company, but VALVe will still remain open to my knowledge. It was probably one of my fav game companies....made some killer games in teh 80s, and of course, distributed Half-Life and the expansions, along with other decent games.

I think Adrian Shephard will return to assinate Gordon, on orders from G-man (He isn't a good character if you know what I mean).

g33 man seems like the kind of guy who would end up stabbing both in the back, forcing Freeman and Shepard to work together...who knows will happen?

I think that what'll happen is a bullsquid comes up to you, suddenly unzips like a jacket, and out comes a woman who says; "Gordon, I've been following you for the past few years. I work for the FBI."

The death of hl will be when they use celebrities to voice characters and allow product placements...

like when they had williem defoe in 007:everything or nothing.

Willem Dafoe.

That would be utterly creepy and fulfill the scare factor of HL2.
