I'm starting a mod thats different then the others. My mod will be mostly climbing, and it will test your jumping skills. Watch for it in the map vault. It'll be there in 2-4 weeks.

I remember a mod called TYS, 'test your skills'. That sucked, r_speeds were super high, design was worse than noobish and it was unplayable, because the stupid mapper doesn't know that you should test maps before letting others play them.

I love playing the kz maps. Most of them are repetitive but some are rellay fun to watch noobs get stuck at one place while you're looking at them from above and waiting to see if anyone can get as high as you.

Here's some info about the mod:
-The mod will be called Proclimber. -There may or may not be a rock wall that takes the place of the hazard course, but according to my magic 8 ball, "signs point to yes." -There will be no grunts, just zombies and maybe some Xen slaves. -The map that has the crate warehouse in it might have bad r_speeds, but the others won't. -The weapons will be just a crowbar and a pistol.

Some updates about the mod:
-The r_speeds in the box warehouse were improved. -I'm currently working on the last map, or maybe the last two maps. -The enviroments in the end get really unrealistic and abstract, like floating file cabinets.

oh... ffs haxor. There was no point in reviving this thread. It has been dead for a week. At least if you revive a week old thread say something that actually has some kind of meaning....

I stopped working on the mod... too late to post it online now. HL2 is almost out. Besides, I'm too busy with other maps to post the mod online. And this thread is dead, let it sink into the old ruins of the forums, if you know what I mean...

anyway, I would look at it even when HL2 is out. HL2 won't kill HL mapping. they have to make a worldcraft to go with it if it is a whole big engine change.
