Ok i have a file of about 840mb(video file) when the file plays it has DIVX code at the bottom corner. I only have 700mb discs :/ I got a prog to recompress and ive tried multiple things. I tried using DIVX again and for 1 min it comes up as 7 mb. the file is 2 hours long. So 120 x 7 = 840 mb which is what i start with. If i could drastically reduce quality i would just to get rid of the 140 mb that i dont need. I have the prog and everything but what can i do ???the file is .avi and ive tried converting it into mpeg but it came out as 1.4gb after 3 hours and ive tried converting it to wmv or wma and it crashes every time.

Im not really an expert but you could drop resolution/quality for file size - alternatively, split it into 2 400mb files and burn them seperatly.

I'd do the latter. You can do 'spread zip across multiple discs' with WinZip.
