I am recruiting for a new HL2 mod that has begun. We need people for:

-Coding
-Modeling (full body, armor and weapons)
-Texturing

The mod is based on Battletech and is called; Battletech : Mobile Infantry

We plan on having various types of units, including Elementals and other battle armor infantry. Feel free to visit our website for more detailed information.

I'd help, but I don't feel I'd be an ideal texture artist for that sort of setting.

I dont know RabidMonkey777, your stuff is pretty good (I like the photos too, the phone :) are you a mapper too?

I am a mapper as well, though I don't have much completed work as of yet. I do have some screenshots from a work in progress here.

Count me in.

Since it's for HL2, I don't want to put too much effort into mapping as of yet so I can take advantage of the HL2 engine and editing features/models/etc. (And so I can finish up with some other projects in the meantime ;) )

Register at the site, and we can discuss things further there.

One of the reasons I wanted to start recruiting now, is because we can do most of the modeling and mapping now. The maps port over 100% so.....There are some small maps we can work on. The new textures and other stuff can be added later.

Hmm, true.

The only problem I see is when testing maps. I like to test compile often and since the Half-Life engine lags when you hit r_speed limits even on fast computers, testing maps might be a little hard.

I have done alot of mapping in radiant and little in Hammer, but im working on it, they are very similar.

Compileing always takes too long :( I always do it before i goto bed, or before I leave for work :)

We still need more mappers..........
