Afaik, Barney does not have a crouch animation. You could use a monster_generic and the multiplayer barney, though.

Search for a program called Half-Life Model Viewer and look at the animations yourself, perhaps you can find a usefull one.

you may have to open up the model and do some tinkering with the skeleton in something like milkshape3d. Shouldn't by very hard once you get the hang of the editor. Though without proper motion capture it may look crap :P

Thinking about it, Barney would have the same animations as the actual player model for DM play, thus if you just used the animation from the DM barney model you should be able to get him to squat. Although it would be a sudden crouch, rather than a smooth one, you'd need to put some intemediary frames in place first.

Animating in MilkShape is easy to learn, but extremely hard to master. My animations look un-lifelike, and they go far too fast. That's what you get for having animated for about 1-2 hours in your life. The animation was Gman saluting, but it looked awful.

The DM barney is not the same as the SP barney, so that wouldn't work out right... instead, it would cause a lot more confusion...

No, just animating the barney model would be just fine. Might take a while to learn how to do that, so I think it's best to leave it for now, try a bit with modelling and such and perhaps you can pull this off later.

I didnt post any maps for a while cuz Im currently enhancing the HL monster A.I. Cool huh? I need to enhance the A.I. so I could finally make a boss battle for my map.

Current Boss: monster_human_grunt
Current A.I. : see player, shoot
If player hides, throw any explosive material.
If player runs, follow him through use of info_nodes
Always find cover for... cover..
Future A.I. : see player, shoot
If player hides, throw any explosive material.

If player damages him, duck under cover.
If player kills him, go close and blow himself up... then die.
while shooting, move while shooting.
when sees player throw grenade, jump away at north.
( apperently always at the north)
whens player enters vehicle always throw grenade and
never shoot until he has popped out.
But THE FUKING barney wont crouch so i cant enhance A.I. until i learn milkshake.
