Can anyone tell me how to apply textures to individual faces without applying it to the entire brush, or is that possible? I know I can hollow it out and apply textures to each brush, but I'd rather now end up with 6 new brushes each time I want to apply a different texture.
Yes, I know about decals, but those are entities and in the sixth tutorial map for worldcraft 2.0 they applied a light texture to the underside of a single bush, but left the rest of the faces with a cement texture of something.
Thanks

On the right side you usually find the tool bar.
There are three block symbols. One has the same texture on each side, one has different textures. Click that button to open the texture application tool.
Now you can modify the texture on each face seperately.

Thanks. I knew there was a way. I felt rather stupid asking and was afraid I would get a lot of people mad at me.
Thanks.

Did I say right side? That's wrong of course, it's on the left side.

You could drag the toolbar to the right ;). Or top, or bottom. or have it floating. The possibilities are endless! (well, maybe not endless, but you get the idea)

Don't be :) We're all friendly!

There's a tutorial on this though; might be nice if you checked the tutorials first next time ;)

holy crap!

i've been mapping on and off for about a year and i never knew you could do this! i mean, i used face properties button to align and scale textures, but godamn i never used it to apply different brushes to different faces! holy crap this is awsome!

now i can change my interior walls from out without making more brushes. now i can make the edges of my log cabin look hewn. dang there are about 10,000 applications i can think of off the top of my head.

thank god. with the help of this mighty forum, i shall conquer the world--echo while getting louder and louder--conquer the world<repeat>
