After this post im adding a page to www.groups.msn.com/ProjectFreeman/ about my mod.

Question though (i thought this would go under mod since its for the mod)

How do u align textures? when i try to add a button its always about a half a button and 3 to 5 of em

Suggestions? or am i just not very experienced?

Also can any master-texturists tell me how to make maps look good? i tried to build it once and gave up because it looked like a 6-year-olds drawing.

My procedure is i make a cube all yellow like a test chamber, and add blocks and carve them down to look like a test chamber..Bah it looks like a 6 YEAR OLDS STICKHOUSE

Well you shouldn't be making a mod if you can't align textures.

I recommend against carving. Just make each brush manually, it will save time in the long run.

Experiment with angles, vertex scaling, cylinders and arches, and texture selection and alignment and scale...Most professional (and professional-quality) maps don't rely on blocks, and use textures where sometimes, you would've never thought them useful!

Also, get familiar with the clip tool. It's very handy and good for detailing architecture and making it more interesting.

Whats with all newbies and making mods? Your mod will probably get one room before you get bored or aggrivated and delete it!

I think it should be a rule, make each piece manually, and use the clip tool in the name of god.

Where has someone bashed this "n00b"?
The only semi insult and that wasn't directly aimed at him, was by fizzy.

Hehe, I think that kinda demolished your theory that people that map but don't get paid are "n00bs". :P
