In hammer the map looks fine.But when I run it in HL some parts of the map go black when you look at them in a certain way.Pls tell me how to fix this.The map is avalble in the map vault as "L1P1".Just pls help me!

1. Don't run in Software mode
2. Increase Max View distance in Map -> Map Properties, to, say, 8192.

Yeah, try opengl. Does the map "fade away" into black the further you go or does it just go all at one time? Because if it practically flashes on and off with black its a render error usualy ossociated with direct 3d and software.

You can't set max view distance 90000, afaik....put it in multiples of 16 so it's more friendly to HL.

i had that problem when i did some funky vm... walls dissapeared from certain angles. i think when i made the wall into a func_wall it corrected the prob. dont know if that's what your problem is, but hey...

actually, I think it would be better to delete them and make it again, and try to get the VM right, rather than just make a func_wall...

and omg, 90000, you dumb ass lol!

8192 is teh max, open Hammer, go to Map / Map Properties / Max Viewable distance

or

open gl, and actually change it to open gl, not just pretend that you did.

those are the only things that can cause that problem.

To make the map again it would take ages.The map is in the map vault under problem maps as L1P1.I will try those surgetions.Thanks :)

OpenGl is the API of choice for HL. Although i recently played it again with D3D and had no problems. I think OpenGL also allows for higher res.

Oh, and check for the latest drivers for your G card. that might help too.
