Hi! I need to get some enemies walk(or run) to the little camp that I arranged!!! The aliens are supposed to try to outnumber them but the humans got Gordon and some Barneys :P
Could any1 tell me how to make enemies walk to a target area?
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-20 21:49:27 UTC Post #74023
Use the path tool (read help file) and make the enemies target the path.

As for making them run, use scripted_sequences to make them run, theres a tut on this, read it. Just set the move to position value to run.

But can any1 tell me how to make the enemies walk to a position? ;)
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 10:12:18 UTC Post #74075
Don't use that crappy path_tool thing. Its buggy.

Scripted_sequence is what you need.
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 10:57:23 UTC Post #74077
Thanks :)

New problem: The enemies didnt walk at all, they just stood where they spawned! I had to engage them to make them attack the camp! What shall I do to fix this? :zonked:
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 11:24:21 UTC Post #74079
umm... they started walking AFTER 5 MINUTES!!!! reason? how do I fix it? :S
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 14:07:15 UTC Post #74088
use triggeronce to target the scripted_sequence :)
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 14:21:55 UTC Post #74092
No, use a trigger_auto that targets a multimanager that targets all of the grunts.
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 14:24:26 UTC Post #74093
I'll try that, thanks
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-21 14:29:20 UTC Post #74094
hm... my multimanager cant target anything :zonked:

I cant find any tutorial about AIs...! :(
Posted 20 years ago2004-11-25 18:09:41 UTC Post #74755
You don't want one on AI, you want the Scripted tutorial. Before you try scripting, you should have an understanding of all the basics/simple intermediates, which you apparently don't. Read all the tutorials: trust me, it works.
