When I compile my map, my water is invisible, but once you go underwater you can see it? This not only happens in my map, but also the SDK_water map, even when it's unedited. I may post screenies later.

Are all sides textured NODRAW apart from the actual top of the water brush?

i have water_lod and a env_cubemap, and all the sides but top are no draw, but the strange thing is is that when I compile sdk_water, there is the same problem, and I haven't even edited it.

I alsio had this problem but sorted using a no draw brush on all sides and bottom. Have you tried changing the actuel water texture? I had proplems with some and others that worked fine.

that doesn't work. I've fiddled with the texes, i've done everything known to man and it still doesn't work.

That's very odd.

Try "buildcubemaps" in the console, see if anything changes?

it has to be a comp eror seeing as the sdk example works fine for me but i noticed my water goes invisible when vis doesnt run e.g. leak

also dont have water going into void
