Firstly, my entities are in my room right? Now when I use the select arrow, I can only select the whole room - I want to select my entities because I need to move them.

Draw a selection box over the entire room and hit enter.

Or, if you've checked the option "Allow infinite selection without <Enter>" in Tools -> Options, just drag.

Next, I want to insert a pre-fab but from the drop down list, usuable objects are not in there. I want to use the pre-created stuff like the filing cabinets in cs_office and stuff but can't find them, any ideas in that one?

They aren't prefabs, but models instead.

Use a prop_physics_multiplayer entity and browse to the model you wish to use (CS:S props are in the props/ dir) and select it.

CS:S prop images are here if you need them. .

Mate to solve all your problems for hammer and cs:s find a nice site where they do tutorials for that game, Most tutorials on TWHL only work for the original halflife.
