i had recently got condition Zero from a local gamestop and well after i installed it and went to go play it i cant play it in opengl mode or direct 3d anymore i have halflife on direct 3d but on condition zero it will only let me play with software.....what can i do i dont understand ?? do i need to get rid of regular half-life or something?

well i cant really update it though becuase i dont have internet at home. but i can play the game under software mode but its gay it laggs to much.

You have to update it, really, it's probably the only/best option.

You know I sure a nice person would send in a CD via mail although it is a long shot and even so what about more updates after that.

You can't expect people to send CD's every update so find a way to update.

Have you tried going on google and searching Condition Zero update download and download off another site and extract to the directory of that game.

I did that once when steam was offline.

Yeah, you're not gunna be able to get all your updates. Seriously, why don't you have a 'net connection?

ok but if you can do it this once, i mean i like counter-strike but i really just want to make maps becuase i used to do that and i had so0o0o0o much fun and i havent did it for like a year and i've been through alot of stuff like juve, getting jumped and stuff. i dont need the update everytime just this once so i can make maps and play at a better resolution that doesn't lagg.
