Try moving the fence further from the wall. This may be caused by poor filtering ? turn on antriscopic filtering and see if that helps.

turned up the anistropic filtering to full and put everything to high:
looks a bit better but its still giving me the same problem, when u say move away from the walls do u mean the edges?

It happens to me too and everyone I know who owns the game!

All maps that have the dreaded fence gets that weird looking bug :/
Even in Hammer it does it :S

is there a way of (easily) doing a fence without using textures so it won't have this bug?

Use the model that comes with it :)

Make a prop_static if you want it to be solid and non passable e.g. won't move like physics or you can use a prop_physics!

Properties, World Model, and choose the fence model which is in the folder called props_city17.

Choose which one you want and roate, flip until it's in the position you want.

Argh, the problem with this is because you've used a model texture on that brush. Just use a texture that doesn't have models/ in front of it, or use a prop.
It happens to me too and everyone I know who owns the game!
Not if you're using a proper texture ;)
