I was just wondering if anyone knew any good modification sites for painting the 360 controller, and/or if you could use regular spray paint on the 360 controller, don't need any special plastic spray paint.

You'd probably need to brush the controller with some sandpaper, otherwise the paint might not stick. After the painting you can spray some varnish on the controller to bring back the shining effect and to protect the paint.

Don't worry, I googled. Just trying to get as much help as I can. So that is what that fusion is, I read about it on other websites. And about the screenies, I will if I remember, I actually have to buy the controller, still don't have a 360, that is one of the reasons (I bought a Gamester pheonix Live editon for 50-60 dollars, and I had 4 conrollers at this point already, don't want to do that again). It is rather hard to find a beginers paint job for the 360, most tutorials seem to be for the console, or leds or something, nothing for the paint jobs, probably really easy if you are into that kind of stuff.....

do a search for painting plastics in general, not specifically the controller.

I would suggest spray paint from a Car shop thats made for plastics ie bumpers. This is designed to die the plastic the colour of the paint as well as cover it. There are several informative websites on painting car plastics, it should be exactly the same.

Just make sure that you take the controller apart before spraying :D

Oh, just a quick thought, get down to your local warhammer store. Warhammer models are plastic so the primer, paints and varnish from them should work a treat. You may have to get some really fine wet and dry sandpaper and give the plastic a quick rub down first. You will also want to make sure its clean before spraying :D

I know this post is rather old, but I finally came around to buying an 360, and a month after I came around to spray painting it. Me and my brother finished mine today, just need to put it back together, but in the mean time, here is a mock-up.

I will have more pictures posted tomorrow of the progress of his controller, and my finished product. *note: the bottom silver part, which is not well seen in the pictures, is also painted the metallic cyan of the shoulder buttons, and the cyan paint looks better in real life, with it's metallic sheen.

sorry took me so long to get the pics up, we had some trouble with the R and L buttons, they wouldn't (and still won't) click in right, just have to live with it, ohwell.
