how would i go about saving a new or slightely edited npc model (barney) into my mod's pak0 file? because i can't seem import any files into the pak0 using wally.

I have some experience with editing the pak0 file (having created my own) but i've never came across not being able to import the model. Ive had it freeze during saving the edited PAK, but never has importing it been a problem.

When you say you cant import them, do you mean when you go to "import files" and select the said files, that they do not arrive in the list of the PAKs contents

It may also be an idea to place all the edited/new models in its own folder and importing this instead of individual folders. That is what i always done...

Why would you need to do this? Just put the model in moddirectorymodels.

If copying your model to the moddir/models directory isn't working, then make sure your modified barney has the same name as the barney your replacing, and your model is workable--did you "modify" it yourself?

Pak files are sometimes nice when handling big mods, I think they act the same as a regular zip, only that the game can read the files in them. ;)

well i dont know what i did wrong but ill just save my self some time and use the pak0 file :cool:
