Does anyone have a 2wire router or knows a lot about wireless networks?
My laptop can connect to the wireless, but it has no connection to the internet. Yet if i hardwire in i can connect easily.
I need to use wireless because i moved my desktop, desk, and router out of my room and i got a new desk for my laptop.
But i dont have a cable long enough to reach the router in the other room (other side of my house) so i have to go wireless.

I'm so defeated by this because i've been trying to get it to work for the last 6 hours to no avail.

Is anyone experienced with wireless networks that knows what could be wrong?

i know a little about how gay wireless internet can be...

are you using windows to connect or different softwares? does your router need to be configured to let your mac address through? find your mac address (ipconfig in cmd) and see if it is your allowed connections box in your router setup (access router by its ip, usually 10.0.0.xxx in your web browser, look it up on the router website or at portforward)

Are you having seemingly spontaneous connection stability difficulties? Are you achieving dismal latencies between the various boxes on your network? You might be suffering from a WIRELESS CONNECTION! For your free consultation and 10 meters of CAT5 cabling please contact m0p today! ^_^

PS. I'm not giving you any free cable, buy your own.
To put it simply, wireless FTL, wired FTW.
