Hey, This is "The Bildo" speaking. I do not have the internet at my home computer and would like to know if it is possible to edit maps for HL 2/CS without the internet. I have been making some maps using worldcraft for HL 1 intended for CS but without the textures, props, etc. it is easy to loose inthusiasm. Let me know if there is a way to get around Steam, cause it is fuckin anoying.

You'd have to go online at least once.

Then after that you should be able to use Steam in offline mode.

But apart from that, no.

Yeah, I've gone been through it using the internet and even made a small map. But now it just says that it cant even open worldcraft-hammer without an active internet connection. Its rediculous.

Start Steam in Offline mode.

Works for me.

Unfortunately, Steam has a tendancy to not work in Offline mode sometimes. Dunno what it is.

You really do need a constant connection, even if it is batshit like mine.

Hahaha, Yeah .... I've noticed. Well, theres got to be a way. I'll see what I can do when I get home. Keep me posted if you know anything.
