As part of its promo for the Transformers DVD (the boxes with the Bumblebee mask, the Optimus Prime mask, and the Transforming Megatron), Wal-Mart is offering special behind-the-scenes videos for Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!

The first video you'll see is behind-the-scenes footage of the first day of filming for the sequel at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the second video there is ILM's look at creating the robots in the first film.

To access the content, just go here: http://instoresnow.walmart.com/enhancedrendercontent_ektid50686.aspx and use the access code "AllSpark62609" (without the quotes). The site says you can expect a new video every week! "Revenge of the Fallen" is opening in theaters on June 26, 2009

The animation is amazing <3

Micheal Bay's a douchebag though.

He really is, but i'll be damned if Transformers wasn't one the most entertaining brainless action flicks of 2007.

Hey, I heard a while back on the Sci-fi channel that the Constructicons are going to be in the second Transformers movie. Now, I want to know if they are going to be able to merge in to Devastator, like they did on the first cartoon series from back in the 1980's. If it was up to me, I will throw in the Dinobots, Grimlock was my favorite.

The Constructicons merged in to Devastator:

I had a Autobot called "Hund". It transforms into a Jeep.

My brother had an Insecticon, but I can't remember which one.

My cousin had "Shockwave".

This was back in the 1980s. I was only thirteen.

I've heard of that rumour, Tito. The problem is I think two of the Constructicons have had their name used in the first film. Easy to fix, yes, but still.

I've also heard rumours of "The Fallen" making an appearance (makes sense considering the title), even though he's from the much, much newer generation of Transformers.

My bro's a bit of a Transformers nut, he has all of the original show on DVD and the original animated film too. I guess that's why I know more about Transformers than I thought I did. ;D

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
Really though. A new Nightmare on Elm street? jesus there's already 7.

i hate that man, and i refuse to watch transformers on principal.

I was not aware of that, that's news to me!

I can't appreciate the whole transformers concept thus I haven't seen the first one and I will not see the sequal no matter how many people enjoyed the first one. Don't believe the hype, kids. ;D

Seriously though, cars transforming in minded warfare bots? Ugh, just no.
Posted 16 years ago2008-09-05 12:30:09 UTC Post #254986
But the minded warfare bots transformed into the cars in order to blend in.
It's not cars transforming, it's cars returning into their original state. Minded warfare bots.

You know, the whole idea about transforming robots is pretty old. Before the introduction of the Transformers, there was the "Gobots". But before that, there was the old anime "Macross". If anybody here thinks of anything older, please add....

It was entertaining as a movie, but generally pissed me off. It was one big advertisement. If there's that much product placement in a movie, the ticket should be free.

For Fuck's sake.

It was one big advertisement.
Now that, I have to agree with. General Motors and eBay were among the biggest products pitched in the movie.

Boh3m3's Transformers Review covers a lot of good points and is funny as fuck.

I am not particularly excited about the sequal.

That guy's a tool.

He's so fucking biased, hell. That's not even a review.

He's just slamming on it.

That one part in particular where he talks about the intelligent 'signal analysis' girl being hot doesn't make sense. He talks about how it doesn't happen but hell, its a movie. They aren't going to make it a real signal analysis girl because that probably wouldn't appeal to anyone.

That guy is an ass though, definitely.

lol, a sequel to a movie about plastic children's toys.

I, for one, am anxiously awaiting the feature length live action Pokemon film.

Good keyboards have the ? and ` key. Pok?mon.

Regarding Transformers, it's terrible. I wouldn't watch the sequel if it was free.

Character Map? I don't have such a thing. Is it Vi$ta only?
Found it, Start+R and enter "charmap".

I think the Transformers movie was ok, but I won't watch the sequel.

I downl... borrowed Transformers, and if I would want to see the sequel, which I don't, I would downl... borrow it too.
I didn't find Transformers worth money.

As a huge fan of the show as a kid (I'm 33), I have to say it was the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen.

Basically it's Armageddon/Independence Day/etc.- ie a big dumb disaster flick- with robots thrown on top of it. It's not even a Transformers movie, they just happen to be there. And the poo-poo and pee-pee jokes? I'm sorry, but cartoon was more serious and had a lot more depth.

Hope to hell the GIJOE movie is better.

The transformer movie was horrible. I had to watch it twice cause i fell asleep while first watching it.

And did it hear that right? A pokemon film? Dear lord, is there a bigger example of fail?

I might be biased, since i viciously made fun of pokemon/transformer/yu-gi-oh enthusiasts, as a child. And i continue to hate all those toys.

But i think any movie based on a toy will fail, unless they do something Really special.

Most apt summary of the film I've seen so far.

Pok?mon isn't toys. There are Pok?mon toys, but originally Pok?mon was only Game Boy games. Great Game Boy games.

I enjoyed transformers. It was a good action flick with some great CGI work. It was entertaining, and I would watch it again. (once I forget what happens)

It probably helps that when I was younger I never had anything to do with transformers or the cartoon, etc. Because I get seriously worked up about films that ruin their books (i.e. ALL film adaptions of books, maybe aside from LOTR, but only because the books are boring as hell)

I'd go see a sequel.

The Transformers remake blew dick... bad movie was bad. Most of the transformation sequences and action scenes were sped up so fast you couldn't even tell what was going on. I don't understand why people thought it was so amazing. Plus Shia Labeouf is a fucking toolbag, period.

Lots of my friends and most people i talked to enjoyed it though, so i guess he did a good job if the majority of the people liked it.

Meh, anyone who took the movie too seriously, and hated it as a result, is an idiot. It has to be said. It's impossible to take a movie about giant transforming robots seriously, no matter how well made it is, so why should the film be serious?

It's the perfect example of a pure popcorn flick. I think some people have trouble just sitting back and having fun.
Basically it's Armageddon/Independence Day/etc.- ie a big dumb disaster flick- with robots thrown on top of it.
That is exactly right, and there's nothing wrong with big dumb flicks. It's nothing revolutionary, but it's nothing offensive or vulgar.
I don't understand why people thought it was so amazing. Plus Shia Labeouf is a fucking toolbag, period.
Very hard job for me to find people who would actually call the whole movie amazing, it's just loud, silly fun. And I like Shia myself.
Hope to hell the GIJOE movie is better.
Directed by Stephen Sommers? No chance in hell.

I didn't take it too seriously. In fact I didn't take it seriously whatsoever.

I got the DVD for my birthday, started watching it and by the end of it I was playing on my DS and sort of glancing from time to time.

Long story short: I got bored.

New update on Transformers 2! Devastator confirmed!

TFW2005 has received word that the combiner Devastator will appear in the Michael Bay sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The site says it has confirmed the following:
  • Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
  • Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
  • Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
  • The previously Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi is legit
