Why do you play PopCap games ? Have you got any respect for yourself as a gamer ?

Because their games are addicting. Their games can keep you playing for hours, as is the case with PvZ.

If you don't like Casual games, stay out of my thread.

Yeah, I played Peggle too. But continuously playing these types of games makes you.. a never mind, you don't read gaming magazines anyway :P

Egad Striker, talk about jumping into the lions den.

Out of curiosity, is there a demo?

the point you're trying to make in that post, striker, was so utterly lost that even after a fifth re-read, i am still no closer in figuring it out.

For the record, i have a subscription to PC Gamer magazine.

Played the demo and it's not bad. It's like a simplified version of a tower defence game. I'm considering getting it, but I don't think it should have the same price as World of Goo. It's not that good.

Also, cstriker, yet again, fails hard. Peggle is good, PvZ is good, and World of Goo is amazing, and those are all casual games. If you've ever played a flash game in your browser, chances are that it was a casual game. You don't need to kill shit to have fun. Grow up.

On a side note, because we're talking about gaming magazines, I read PC Powerplay, which is Australia's best PC gaming magazine. We don't get PC Gamer UK, only the US version which sucks balls. Even if I could get it, I'd still buy PCPP ^_^

I fail to see what reading gaming magazines have to do with playing casual games anyway.

There's a free trial of PvZ available on Steam and on PopCap's website. Note that only the Steam version has achievements.

Been playing it too much lately. Passed the adventure mode last night, but there's still a ton of things to do. Great game.

I think I prefer that. Good game but I get frustrated easily with this kind of thing. I won't buy the full version. :rly:

I've played these little time-wasting games before, but whenever I get finished I feel like I could have spent that time on something much more productive. Even re-playing an old real game is more fulfilling to me. I guess I'm lucky, I never get so incredibly bored that I have to resort to playing repetitive casual games.

Replay Half-Life again. Honestly, when was the last time some of you did that?

Yay, arrogance. Just because they're smaller games it doesn't mean they aren't just as rewarding. It's not like playing a bigger game is any more productive than playing one of these.

Further, the game doesn't really come alive, as it were, until the later levels. I doubt you'd get anywhere close to the real fun in just the demo.

I finished adventure mode yesterday and was surprised by all the new minigames that became available.
Olol.

And if you replay adventure mode again, you earn presents and gifts for your plants in Zen Garden.

Lovely marigolds. ^^
