How can you modify the default folders in the places bar in common dialog boxes for Windows 7?

I did it for Windows XP, but couldn't figure out a way to modify it in Vista.

Is there a way to change the default folders for Windows 7?

I Googled already, several times, in fact. But I found no solution.

Dunno.. I tend to make every useful place of mine a library.
Afterwards I just click the "Libraries" button and go from there.

I know the normal navigation pane can't be directly edited [unfortunately], and I would guess that pane can't be edited for the same reason, whatever that reason may be. It's hard to search for that pane because it doesn't have an official name, so all I can do is associate it with the navigation pane.

I think your only option is to make a new library and include whatever folders you wanted to have in the bar in the new library. Then use the libraries tab to access whatever folders you wanted to access.

Thanks for the tip. I added a few custom libraries, and it works pretty well.

I would be nice to not have to click on the library button to open up additional libraries, but it's the next best thing.
