Hiya, i have a load of TGA textures which i would like to work with valve hammer and therefore half life mapping.

How do i go about this in the best way possible?

Do i need to convert them into WAD format?

If so is there a convertor for this?

If not how would i set it up so opening a WAD file would produce all the TArga files inside it?

Thank you so much in advance on any information on the matter, and if resolved i will forward on the textures (58mb's) to anyone who wants them, with more details and information on the actual textures.

You do need to convert them into WAD format.

There's a utility called Wally that makes all sorts of game texture files.

http://www.telefragged.com/wally/

Download it, create a new HL package (Wad3) and then drag all the tga files into the new wad window.

No problem :) . Make sure to include the wad file when distributing your map, or -wadinclude it into the BSP.
