Life
Life is a strange thing. It can be fantasized as anything but can only be one thing, the same thing for every person. We are born, we live a few years as children, and then we start school. For the next 12 years, at least, we do the exact same thing ever day. After that you get a job and a place to live and probably a family. Your go to work every day, get bored, and come home to continue to raise your children. In a matter of years they finish school and leave. You are left with your spouse for the rest of your life until you grow old and die. Life... in just a matter of years, is then over. Life as we know it is nothing but sadness and boredom. And what kind of system do we live by? We see movies, play games, view fantastic places that we long to live in but know that we never can. What if you had the power... to shape how life is done, to shape what kind of technology we had, to shape what our planet looked like! To be able to shape life itself to what we want it to be. To have the kind of biological technology as the Xen perhaps? To live in a world that looks like something right out of a game like Final Fantasy X. Even to make it so that every day is different! So that every day is not the same thing over and over!... to be living a lifestyle of variation. What if we could somehow live with our whole families yet still live in separate places. To be like they never left per say...no... human life is indeed a sad thing. And then... it?s over! It goes by so fast, if only we had the power!... to slow it down but not grow old and just wait for ourselves to die. Think about it, think about human life and the current state it is in. Imagine now if life was more like what books and games and movies portray the way life could be. What if magic existed? Once again, what if the entire system of life was changed to each of our own personal desires? I honestly cannot say that I am satisfied completely with the current state of life. These are the kind of thoughts that enter my mind almost every day and sometimes I will just sit there fantasizing my life as I would shape it and think, wow that would be incredible! Then I return to reality, depressed, realizing that my dreams can only be witnessed through my own dreams when I slumber or when I am staring out the window of my school bus every day getting ready for the same thing I did yesterday. I have had many dreams in my sleep where I lived in a world full of incredible mechanical technology and others where I lived during a time of magic and simplicity, only to be wakened a few hours later to return to life...

This is one of the reasons I became a mapper. To create my own world how I see fit. This is also one the reasons I respect the Xen so much.

That's preety deep, you really have me thinking. I must say that I agree to a certain extent. Were probably very alike because I ponder the exact same things when looking out the bus window on the way home. But I have learned that normally I shouldn't think like this because I have gotten into depressions from something like that (among other things) before.

Oh by the way, I wasn't saying I'm wishing life was more like movies, I'm just using things like that as an example.

I read it, it's very interesting...

I also think that it's kind of annoying for people to be scared of death, you know, the period when all of us started thinking about it (Ages 10-15) and, sometimes, got scared.

When you die, you get relieved of your old and inferior shell, crumpled by years, and now you are as energetic as ever, feel free to do what you want to.

an alternative to the two unhealthy ways to live i mentioned above would be to focus on the important things in life... love, happiness, and helping those who are in need. if you make the happiness of your gf, (or when your older) wife, especially your kids, etc, your number one priority, the love they give you back will be very rewarding
Yup, sounds like my plans. Help as many people as possible and have a loving family :) Oh, and I can't say I wouldn't like some flying.

Oh by the way guys, I think a lot. I kid you not, I am always thinking of something. No mater where I am I have never had a completely clear head. So expect more psychological stories such as these in the far future.

actually, i believe we are the unfortunate miscreation between two higher beings, and one day these higher beings went out for a drink. well, they got pretty hammered and started arguing about who could create the most intelligent life. so eventually, they each decided to create their own world. and we were one of them. either that or we're really a race of people who went in for a reality TV show to live on this planet, and the first step was to have our memories wiped.

Well, the other invaded us and took over some leading spots in the world.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: "Is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we kill those people. - Bill Hicks
Go back to bed, America, your government has figured out how it all transpired. Go back to bed America, your goverment is in control. Here, here's American Gladiators. Watch this, shut up, go back to bed America, here is American Gladiators, here is 56 channels of it! Watch these pituitary retards bang their fucking skulls together and congratulate you on the living in the land of freedom. Here you go America - you are free to do what well tell you! You are free to do what we tell you! - Bill Hicks
I'm gonna share with you a vision that I had, cause I love you. And you feel it. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense each year, trillions of dollars, correct? Instead - just play with this - if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world - and it would pay for it many times over, not one human being excluded - we can explore space together, both inner and outer, forever in peace. Thank you very much. You've been great, I hope you enjoyed it. - Bill Hicks
I've learned a lot about women. I think I've learned exactly how the fall of man occured in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, and Adam said one day, "Wow, Eve, here we are, at one with nature, at one with God, we'll never age, we'll never die, and all our dreams come true the instant that we have them." And Eve said, "Yeah... it's just not enough is it?" - Bill Hicks
We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free. - Bill Hicks

Hehe, I like that last one especially.

Life is like a cucumber: long, green, tapered at the ends, packaged in thin filmy plastic and, erm, a bit softer in the middle.
