I just made an fy map for CS and i need to know what the maximum number of weapon spawns i can place is.. i read in a forum that the game will crash if there are too many but it didnt specify how many.. thanks

As far as I am concerned there is no limit. Ive seen fy maps with about 30 weapons give or take a few so go nuts.

that didnt help much... hmm.. my map wont run... it compiles fine but wont run. i have less than 8 WADs... the filename is short... no spaces.. no error msgs while compiling.. its odd

Have you tried the map without any guns in it?

I mean... how do you know it's a problem caused by those guns?

i think i spy a plan... pk. hang on... ill report back my findings (however the map did compile the last time i tested it with buyzones)

Right. Now slowly add weapons and see when the game crashes.

Compiling with -onlyents could be usefull here... ;)

i no i no... evrything seems fine... i figured it.. it wont run with 31 armouries.. 30 max?

I've seen maps with four rows of 6.

on each side, and an awp at either end, that's 50.

So, no, there's something you're doing wrong.

I take it you're following this tutorial?:

If not, do so, and if you are, then you must be doing somethign wrong, armoury_entities are the most docile in teh game, you set teh weapon, you set the amount (count) and then you compile. There's not alot that can go wrong.

I'm not sure if teh entites are allowed to see too many of each other, so .. is there any division between the spawn points of CT and T and are the weapons all visible from one point?

Otehr than that, I'm not sure what's wrong, try uploading to the vault, maybe 7th could have a look, as I'm at work until 5, if no-one can, I'll fix it up for you then.
