Unless you're mapping professionally, its pretty pretentious for anyone here to consider themselves elite. Its a word and form of stigmatisation that's crept in from AOL's '31337 h4x0rs'.

2. someone who can make a level with sky and use sprites, mdls etc
3. someone who cant make a lot of detail but can make an arch etc

everyone here cannot make a level like office or dust on cs:S so does that mean we are all newbs

just because seventh knows a lot doesnt mean his good he might be a newb even though he makes ok maps!

somewhere like snarkpit is a non newb place but thats what this site is for newbs! if you go here then that means your a newb except for andy etc as there the main helpers who have had experience and are aharing it with others!

YOu know everyone is a NOOB at one time or another! There is not one single person that I know that knows how to do everything without any help. I do believe that is what these forums are for to help with people who are trying to learn or just have a problem they can't figure out.
