Ok:
We all know the definition of Random right? An event which is in no way connected to other events or situations.

HOWEVER!
After much thought i came to realise that nothing is random.. computers are obviously not random because they cannot 'think' for themselves. And living things are not random because we are influenced by all the events and stimulus in our proximity (light,sound,smell...etc). This being true, means that no matter what choices we think we have, we cannot make because of all the external influences (consious and sub consious) in our proximity. The only way to be sure that you where making you OWN decision would be if you were simultaneously: Blind, Deaf and had no sense of touch, taste and smell! This means that if someone worked out which external influences were the most potent (had the greatest effect on decision making) they could in fact CONTROL YOU!

I hate it when I start thinking about stuff like that :) - 4 example if you know that you had a dream, but cannot remember anything about it, you can never actually know if you had it or not. Or maybe if something happens, and no one in the world knows it happened, maybe it didn't happen ?

I would explain that, but I believe I covered it in the dream thread...

I have thoughts like that all the time. Its not abnormal if you're not an idiot, as so many people in my country are... Not most though. Thank God for that.

Think about this - You can't exactly remember what happened but you can remember that you remembered some time ago. How do you know that what you remembered a while ago was true?

God will restore your memory, so you know what happened even before you were born

I know a lady that lived in a cave for ten years to figure that out.
Three major philosophical ideas exist on this.
1. Everything happens for a reason.
2. There is a God.
3. I control everything.

Here are a few other things you might want to ponder...

You don't exist.
The only thing that exists is the person in physical form.
The image you have of you is not shared by all the other people, since that image is in your head and bears no resemblance to the person that is you.
Decisions and choices you think you make are just that...
thoughts...
They hold no ground in reality.
The reality is that all things happen regardless of what we think.

Anonymous may well have decided to click 'post', but the reality is that his 'self' convinced him that clicking 'post' was his decision...
I suggest that he controls all his life.
His 'self' will tell him he can control some stuff, That is just the mind playing tricks on the person.. the truth is that he controls nothing.

Belief in 'self' is the single greatest chain around the persons neck.
Belief that there is no 'self' is the single most empowering realisation a person can have.

But you have to believe in something to free the mind...
Just make sure that something is not you.
Read the bio's of the worlds top 500 richest people, every single one of them has faith in something other than self.

I didn't spend ten years in a cave, no need for you to either.

wow. Maybe by realizing this, you then can control stuff.

How do i know that everyone else but me is a holograph or non-existent?! scary stuff. That is why i dont think about it.

Like, i dont like to think about death.

Pfft, easiest thing is to just not think about it. Why bother when you can't figure it out.. unless you go crazy.

how do we know if we are actually here? how did we come to look like we do? maybe there is a matrix? how can we distinguish between truth and reality? are we all just 1 big computer game? :P
