Does anyone have any experience with info_node and monster AI for HL2? Are the monsters (particularly, Combines) any less dependent on the info_nodes? Are they any smarter in negotiating maps by themselves? Do they still have the suicidal tendency of detonating a grenade at their own feet when they see the player?

No, the AI is still normal, it's how they move around that messes them up. Nodes help a lot when you want enemies, and friendlis, to move around, dodge, ect.

Well, you can't make monsters for HL2 yet since only the CS: Source sdk had been released so far... People with the leak might know.
