This map is for Half-life 2 Deathmatch.

Remember the Facility map from Goldeneye on the N64? Good. I've put in quite a few cool features, its got that bit above the toilets, its got a gas leak/fire in one of the tank rooms, theres CCTV that can be watched from the security room, my riot shields are really cool too! I would appreciate any feedback on peoples likes and dislikes. Thanks :)

I wanted to make Facility once and tried using old pictures and it was good but I just felt it was not right...
So I stopped after I got to the tunnel bit in your picture...

i'll give yours a look later because I want to see if it's got that feeling...

Ok, I've tested the map out. Overall, not bad, but definately room for improvement.

Good Points:
  • Very faithful to the original map
  • Some neat touches: blowing up lights, the fire alarm
  • Decent weapon placement
Bad Points:
  • Too faithful to the original map. It needs to be given more detail!
  • In the large rooms with the cylinders, you used model textures, which is why they come out in all different colours. Model textures usually have "prop" or similar in their name
  • Some dubious mapping techniques (doors are too large, stairs look a little strange
Overall, you've improved substantially. Also, a suggestion: use a shader on the mirror instead of using the old reflection technique. 2 and a half stars, 3 to round it up. Happy mapping!
